So here is a link to the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy as they were first shown. https://archive.org/details/star-wars-1977-despecialized-720p.x-264.-ac-3.5.1 Also some fun facts: Everyone in Hollywood including George Lucas thought it was going to bomb, but were surprised when it was a hit. Also George gave his director's fee in order to keep them sequel rights and also was able to have the merchandise rights because Fox had had bad sales with the Doctor Doolitlle merchandise in the late 1960's. The film was nominated for ten Academy Awards for Best Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, Supporting Actor for Alec Guiness, Art Direction, Costume Design, Film Editing, Original Score, Sound and Visual Effects. It won for Art Direction, Costume Design. Film Editing, Original Score, Sound, and Visual Effects. As well as a Special Achievement Award for Ben Burtt and a Scientific and Engineering Award. It unfortunately lost a lot of the others to Woody Allen's Annie Hall, The film was saved in Editing and was edited by George Lucas' first wife. Also the last moment you see of Tarkin before the Death Star explodes was there on accident, but works great for the scene. Peter Cushing who played Tarkin hated the boots he wore that were so uncomfortable so he was shot from the waist up and wore bunny slippers.
