UPDATE: Just heard from Amjad that he had to set up a new Chuffed campaign for the same sponsor/bank reasons that have nagged everything about Palestinian aid during this genocide, and the famine in Gaza right now is brutal. Everything I know tells me that Israel is now betting on starvation as its primary weapon, hence Ben Gvir and that other fucking freak from the Knesset shouting about final & fatal blockades, and of course nothing is getting in (except for insanely expensive bootleg shit which, it stands to reason, is probably sold with a cut for the IDF, et al, factored into its markup).

So, as it is now, war is starvation, money is food, and it appears that the whole pro-Israel bloc is hoping quiet murder will make the world stop paying attention.

I know what you mean about, “People on the internet who like to call themselves schizophrenic.” In an episode of Chapo from last year, Felix described them as, “People who read a lot of Wikipedia and then tell people they’ve gone crazy.” They think they're the real life Rust Cohle because they read Programmed to Kill lol. I hear a tremulation, but cannot tell if it is mpeg compression. I'll assume this is what you describe at the start. As someone who has been dealing with an affliction that changes how I am able to speak, I've had to learn patience with my self. Good luck. I'm a Mothers head but have trouble getting into the heavier parts of the post-Mothers work. Hopefully with your episode in mind, I can approach his solo work beyond "OverNite Sensation" and "Shiek Yerbouti" which are relatively digestible compared to the Joes Garage/You can't do that on stages of the world. Had to throw on Uncle Meat as it is a favorite point of mine of the Mothers.

Said the same a few years back regarding the performance w/ the marines, after catching shit from the McGowan fanboys while I was working as a music writer. It’s hard to blame Zappa for the pessimism that particularly defined a lot of his later solitary work with the Synclavier. If anyone reads this comment I recommend checking out The Yellow Shark, last thing he released in his lifetime.

Also Frank Zappa “fuck the communists.” I’ve always pegged him as a libertarian anarchist. I think if he were still alive in these times his brain would’ve become increasingly more reactionary. Congrats Zappa, for all your genius, your anticommunism while you were in a position of influence helped to contribute to the world we live in today.

What's a good way to record my guitar practice? I've been in the mood to record everything, but I'm having a hard time finding a workable solution. The quality of the audio recording app on my phone is shitty and I'm not sure i want to record digitally anyway. Should i record to tape? I'm playing through a boss JS10 modeler. It's a pretty cool little practice amp that has a built in recording feature, but I'm learning now that it doesn't handle 90-120 minute sessions very well. I just recorded my session today and i think it crashed before it finished copying the file to a usb.

I'm glad I'm not only one who felt like David McGowan was just connecting anyone with a family in the military as "connected" to the higher class structure. That's why I couldn't get into his laurel canyons book because the us military in general is the biggest employer of the country
