Listening to this just after re-reading Alice Notley’s _Descent of Alette_ in the immediate wake of Notley’s passing. My head’s ringing like a struck bell. RIP to an uncompromising poet

Do u think climate change is thought of as a weapon to certain elites? Because of the American state’s connections to Nazis and white supremacy, I often think that climate change is a purposeful way to depopulate and destabilize certain parts of the world to protect the statuses of the “master race” It reminds me of ur heaven demolished episodes. Some Americans really believe that god gave them this continent to conquer, god gave them the most powerful Econ and military after wwii even though we did a fraction of the fighting. And god is melting the undesirables off the planet now. sure we could Lemay it and bomb everyone or we could spend decades morphing global ecosystems in a way that kills just the right amount of people,

I saw Mr. Bungle for their tour supporting Disco Volante and a pit kept trying to form but the music would shift and dissipate the pits energy instantly except for a guy or two who would kind of bop around trying not to look stupid. It was hilarious.

I think you touched on this on the Jimmy Savile episode, but what are your thoughts on the Pete Townshend case? I always thought it was odd there was no cp on any of his other computers, and no other allegations that I could find. Plus the guy plays some killer rhythm guitar! That tone with the Gretsch 6120 through the Fender Bandmaster? Forget about it.

Great episode. I was wondering the other day if things like industrial machinery/chemistry etc are an egoic and stubborn refusal to accept the natural limits of things here on earth. We created mechanical horses because real horses can only be pushed so far up a 45 degree incline for miles until they collapse and die. Check out a guy named Tom Murphy on YouTube. He's got a series called metastatic modernity that talks about limits to growth and how green energy is not gonna save us. It's the fundamental assumption of growth and resource extraction/ domination that'll be our undoing. Hope this makes sense I typed in between sets at the gym

No

Ending in particular was fantastic on this one very very chilling stufff

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. We're all android dogs fitfully dreaming whilst locked in god's hot car

While listening to this I had some thoughts about the comparison of Lincoln and Reagan. They both emerged from a geographically and culturally isolated tidepools where they were formed in a particular religious cultural symbolic even environmental soup. Lincoln came about as a voice for something like a soul that was being sought during the civil war. Reagan performed a similar role but served rather as a face for that mass media era. The next will be a further devolution. I don't know if I would give Trump that mantle though it's interesting to think his new York character might actually qualify as American provincialism today. Perhaps there is a way in which all presidents share in this somehow.

My OCD mind maze can not turn loose of “mirror as recording device”. It reminds me so much of playing Bloody Mary as a child + the cover of the No Pussyfooting record. Now I want to avoid them altogether like the bazillion cameras everywhere. Then I thought of a time when only rich people could afford this novel invention and before that you could only see your distorted reflection momentarily in such things as a river or a puddle. It would kill us all now to be without the wet dream of Narcissus.
