Can’t speak for everyone but everytime I see a Merkava/namer blown up and a idf soldiers spine being cut in two by an Al-ghoul my heart is soothed a little. They deserve every bit of violence they get now & forever.

This is sickening to listen to. I don't mean that as a slight against you, it's just you want to say it's unbelievable that it's happening but I can easily believe it. They've been attacking these people for decades sort of the logical conclusion. Feel better!

I think a lot about the story that Anthony Aguilar (the ex-Green Beret who has certainly seen and done hideous things who was shocked back into his humanity by what he witnessed as a GHF contractor) recounts about the emaciated 5-year old boy who walked 12 km to his site and found some broken-open scraps of flour and lentils on the ground, kissed his hands and thanked him in English, and promptly got tear-gassed and shot in the head by the IDF. What I can't stop thinking about is how many losses a family has to take before they'll send a lone kindergartner to the death lottery. And how every person massacred at those human rat traps is the literal breadwinner for at least a dozen, probably many more even more desperate people.

Funny you should mention Guatemala, and genocide in an episode discussing war crimes that Israel has never been held accountable for.
