Thank you for resolving for me the 'mystery of Speed & Perdoo'. Literally been bothering me for years, yet there has previously been no one in my life that could answer the question. Bless you, sir.

Absolutely brilliant, if miles above this fan’s intellectual range. You put this together in mid/pill withdrawal? I feel like one of earth’s rejected excretions saying it - but your being on this planet elucidating such matters is beyond inspirational. Thank you - and please take care of yourself.

Hey man...what are the chances of getting Dennis Hopper to do an intro?

Brilliant insight regarding the piano keys/benzene ring. Truly inspired thinking. I am in proper awe.

Hey Michael, got turned on to the pod via Cushvlog a couple of weeks ago, working my way through the series, totally hooked. just got to the rejected locrian mode and i had a thought--if you flat the fourth degree of locrian, you get the super locrian, aka the altered scale, which is actually super common in jazz. not sure what one does with this information, but pynchon was a huge bop head, so good chance he was familiar with the theory. line from V: "It was taller than he was and didn’t seem to be listening. Horn and alto together favored sixths and minor fourths and when this happened it was like a knife fight or tug of war: the sound was consonant but as if cross-purposes were in the air."
