The Omni Ones project has just started, but this had to be built into it somewhere.  See: monomeric architecture, cyclical resonant properties of aromatic molecules, the substance woken in your sleeping and asleep if you should wake.

I can't imagine how hard this must have been, but everyone here appreciates you and the work you do. You've helped me think about things in ways I had never conceived of before, art, books, history. You're a gem, through and through, take all the time you need. We'll be here when you feel better!

Brendan Garcia

Have you tried psychedelics? I’m not joking. I think mushrooms, and derivatives of psilocybin in particular have shown some effectiveness in treating migraines. I don’t have any experience with this, just something I’ve read.

Andrew Rassling

So that's why you made the comparison to benzos. Grim. I am truly sorry. I will send you my energy, and hope and maybe -if I can bring myself to - pray for you. You are imo one of the wisest sages of the 21st century. I mean that both in modern parlance, and in that sage was a healing herb. I understand comparing you to a plant used for dental care may be a bit ironic during your ordeal, but you are a wise person, and hearing someone like you is a balm for my mind. I hope you find succor or power through this nightmare. I believe in you. Also if you ever wind up near me you are getting a large batch of pastries. Hollow promise under the circumstances I know, but an honest one.

Not familiar with this particular cover art, but some strange sin tells me it’s Francis Bacon. Can’t wait to listen.

Fuck Perdue Pharma, fuck the Sacklers and fuck Biden. All their money is dipped in the blood of countless victims. I hope they drown in this blood someday, somewhere. They are a few of the reasons why it would be nice for a hell to exist.

You're the fucking one pal sounds like you're going through it got nothing but love and time take as much of either

Andrew McGivney

I love and respect your work Michael. I’ll keep supporting as long as you’re still kicking.

Andrew McGivney

btw, you’re Bowie breakdowns blew me away

MSJ, I'm sorry man. I've had several debilitating migraines a week for nearly my entire adult life and having experienced a little bit of the other pains life has to offer, my suicidal migraines are supreme. I also have experience with the relief that opioids can provide. I've been able to work for myself as visual artist for the last decade, but as one might imagine it is pretty precarious if you don't have financial backing. But yeah, I've got a baby version of your thing if even and that sucks shit so I feel ya brother.

Hi Michael this might sound like a 101 basic medical question but have your doctors checked your blood pressure. I had what you are describing for a short while. My good doctor put me high blood pressure pills. Problem solved. I am only saying this because I don’t know how American doctors think or approach medical conditions. What I lead to believe they have been in the hip pocket of pharmaceutical companies for a long time. (I think America Heath System really needs to be looked at from what I gather) So maybe they or you haven't checked your blood pressure. I feel like a bit idiot even mentioning this. All the same best interest at heart. You do such a good job mate. I feel inspired to watch the The Fugitive (1993 film) now. Haven't seen it in years. I remembered liking it when I first saw it. I grew up with TV series. I preferred the Movie ending than the TV series. That's just me. Tie it up in a nice bow sometimes works. Hats off to that ending anyway at least they were having ago Keep up the good work mate. 👍

Thanks for doing what u do we all appreciate it ☺️

Michael, my only regret is that I couldn’t have been subscribed to this show earlier. Take your time and please take care

I would gladly give you 5 bucks a month for the foreseeable future and I would still feel indebted to you. Your words & thoughts have really added so much "value" to my life, Michael. I myself have had chronic migraines going on 20 years now. Knowing you go through something like that every day really fucks me up. Somehow you still find a way to share all that you do. It gives me hope and makes me furious. If you ever wanna go on a "Lorenzo's Oil" type quest to find a cure for the unending pain brain, I'm pretty down.

Shiv

Michael we remain your loyal swain, may your struggles diminish and your strengths increase

Leonardo DiCaprizoliano

I’m glad you actually finally DID talk about yourself. Because it all comes into focus now. You had made references to being “sick” and in pain before, but now it clarifies exactly what you’re dealing with. I hope you find a treatment that truly works at some point, because no one deserves constant pain like that.

John Turnbull

Not just the specific content or insights but the fact of these podcasts, the fact of a writer of your caliber releasing these performed essays serially and tracing large historical arcs while also being able to incorporate current events as they occur, while also making vividly clear to his audience his own pain and its relation to both the larger arcs and the current events, working across scales in real time, is absolutely incredible. I obviously wish you the best and hope you find peace and relief, and know that you can make great work about something other than yourself. That said, this last run, as painful as it can be to listen to, is really I think something unique and noteworthy. The apologetic tone is totally unnecessary. You are doing great work through and with the pain.

Alex

Michael - you might want to look into the link between the ketogenic diet and migraines. I know that it is prescribed to those with chronic epilepsy. The reduction of inflammation and glucose in your diet could be worth trying out. Just a thought. Good luck

Katherine

This is corny but every episode is a treat. The sun-death one had me hooked for life. I’ll eat any slop you put out, it’s just nice of you to have such tasty slop

Shiv

Fentnyl did INDEED get MKW it was in the tox report and made public I think last week 💔

Shiv

Michael once again, you’re such a gift and we appreciate you so much. This *gestures at episode’s topic* is heartbreaking bullshit. Chronic pain is not just a horror but a lived reality for too many. Thank you for all you do for us from this reality.

mitch

Michael, I’m happy to support you in this small manner and wish I could do more. Even though I’m unemployed right now, it means a lot to me that I can still contribute in this small way. I love you brother

Renee Leath

The universe always seems to torment the good ones, and you are one of the good ones. I hope you find some peace in this fucked up world. We'll still be here for you.

i really want to thank you for this. I honestly think the Sachlers are a red herring. while over prescription of opiates WAS a problem and they shouldnt be prescribed to people as if they are just another drug like prozac or what have you, the over prescription of them is just a drop in the bucket compared to the cessation of legal prescriptions mixed with organized crime’s (i.e. the cia’s) transition away from opium and towards fentanyl. People seem to place all the blame on the sachlers but never seem to register that ODs spiked AFTER the aggressive clamp down on legal opiate prescriptions. As somebody that engages in this world I honestly think the majority (at the very least 1/3) of pharmaceutical opiates in the US come from from people forging prescriptions. and more than like 75%+ of opiate pills “on the street” are pressed with either fentanyl or some opiate RC. it is basically impossible to obtain them legally. so what does that mean? people are forced to resort to illegal sources. This is where i differ in opinion from you though. I dont think opium production is going to ramp back up. I think the people that organize the manufacuring of heroin understand that the demand is SO inelastic and their grip on the supply is SO total that opium production isnt really necessary. When fentanyl can be manufactured for a fraction of the price under practically any conditions (since farming is no longer necessary) there is really no economic reason to cultivate opium. And over the last 10-20 years ACTUAL Heroin has slowly been phased out of “heroin” and replaced with fentanyl and other RCs. To give a bit of perspective: on the darknet markets, in the ENTIRE US community. every site and forum that one would visit if they were in to this sort of thing out of EVERY single seller in the US there is only one single person that sells actual heroin instead of some kind of RC cocktail. literally only one person. and their supply is so low they are only around 3-6 months out of the year. and this is not just a heroin thing. the same phenomenon is happening with Meth as well. where real meth is slowly being phased out with shitty alternatives. i understand that most people probably do not care about this sort of thing. i personally have never done meth and have no interest in it. but my point is there is a very large and noticeable trend of the cartels (ultimately run by the CIA) realizing that demand is so inelastic that they dont even need to produce the actual drug they are meaning to sell. On its own this may not necessarily seem like a big issue but when you look at this in context with the extreme vilification of opiate medication the end result is essentially mass murder of anybody who is addicted to opiates or actually needs them to function as a human being. Since the political vilification of addicts has been accomplished so successfully people seem to really start and stop their analysis on the sachlers (who imo should be hanged at the Hauge; i am not giving them a pass) but their is a larger machination at play that actually profits on the prescription opiate crack-down and they have more bodies on their hands than the sachlers could ever dream of. So i really appreciate you being brave enough to even point out that the situation is much more complicated than people are lead to understand.

Michael, I’m a former personal trainer and wellness coach. I have experience helping people uncover the root cause of migraines and autoimmune disorders. I have some ideas that may or may not help. Hit me up. Would love to help you for free. FR. Because I love your podcast and it’s been so cool to be on this journey with your pod and TA

Surprised this is the first time youve used a bacon

Will you ever cover the Khmer Rouge? There's Lions Led By Donkeys but they seem to focus a lot on China's aid but nothing about the Americans.
