Hi everyone,

I want to start this post with a sincere apology. This March, I wasn't able to meet our usual schedule of two monthly updates. I reached a pretty high point of saturation and stress that forced me to come to a sudden stop so I could evaluate how I'm doing things.

Starting in April, my commitment is to get back to our consistent release schedule, but to achieve that, I need to simplify my workflow and deliver something more direct. And that starts today with two big pieces of news.

New Project: Cane and Able

All my creative energy right now is focused on our new 100% NTR game: Cane and Able.

The story: Ryan Calloway has it all. A stable job, a beautiful home, and Megan, the woman he loves more than anything in this world. Three years of marriage and he still considers himself the luckiest man alive.

When an unexpected guest arrives at their door , older, charming, leaning on a can, Ryan welcomes him with open arms. What could go wrong?

Megan tells herself everything is fine. That he's just a harmless old man who needs help. That she's doing the right thing by being kind.

She tells herself that every day.

Cane and Able is a slow-burn NTR visual novel told through two perspectives, a husband who sees only the best in people, and a wife who's slowly discovering that kindness has a price.🏷️ Tags

The focus: I've learned from my past mistakes. There will be no "feature creep" or a giant, unnecessary cast. It’s a focused experience, without adding a second woman to corrupt. This is pure, straight-to-the-point NTR, designed to have a strong beginning and a solid conclusion.

🔓 Zero Codes, Zero Personalized Copies

As part of this simplification to reduce my stress, I've made a radical decision regarding the games' security. I’ve been spending a massive amount of energy trying to track leaks using personalized copies and offline code systems.

Thinking about it with a cool head, I realized a great truth: the real risk isn't a leak, it's me burning out. A solo developer who quits from exhaustion is the worst possible leak, because then everybody loses. Starting with v0.1 of Cane and Able, I am completely removing the personalized copies and code system. The game will come in a clean file, ready for you to download and play without any friction.

I trust the support of you, my honest patrons, and I want your experience to be perfect.

Version 0.1 of Cane and Able will be available on [Thursday, April 2].

Thank you for your incredible patience this month and for supporting me through this transition. I am really excited for you to meet Ryan, Megan, and our new antagonist.

Hi, you now develop a three games?

Xiao Gui

Take it easy, dev, and thanks for keeping us in the loop. I’m just curious if you don’t mind sharing what led to the sudden start of this new project? Since Cracks in the Aegis just got underway, I really hope you’ll continue developing that story. It has massive potential and was the project you were prioritizing. Managing two projects seemed doable since you could rotate between them, but now with Cane and Able, I’m honestly worried about how you’ll maintain the pace. It sounds incredibly exhausting, and you’ve mentioned that yourself. I mean this with the best intentions, but it feels a bit strange to see Aegis suddenly sidelined for Cane and Able. Is there a specific reason for the shift? Please, don't overwork yourself!!

Nope, developing 3 games is too much; technically, I'm only developing 1, which is Cane and Able. Unfortunately, the lack of support from Cracks in the Aegis has led me to cancel it, and well, TbW only has two more updates left to complete.

Thank you so much for your concern and your kind words! You are completely right to be worried about me juggling too many projects, and that is exactly what led to my burnout. To answer your question directly: I realized that Aegis, despite its potential, wasn't getting the level of interest or support from the majority of the community that I hoped for. Trying to force it while managing other games was destroying my schedule. Because of that, I am actually preparing a second, more detailed post for tomorrow where I explain the full restructuring of the studio. In it, I announce the difficult decision to officially cancel Aegis so I can focus 100% on Cane and Able and finishing TbW. I know this might be disappointing since you liked Aegis, but I had to make this shift to pure NTR to maintain the quality, stick to my 2-week schedule, and protect my sanity. Thank you so much for understanding and caring about my workload

Shame about Aegis. The idea had potential, but the writing was not as good as Thorns. Good luck with the new game :)

Take care of yourself man, it's a shame that crack of the aegis got cancelled but I am sure that this game will be a banger too, good luck and can't wait to try it out!
