- Lost to Time - (Patreon)

This is a drawing I’ve been working on for a little bit, which is wildly different from what I usually do. It’s fully researched paleo-art (TF!), set in a very specific time and place which I will have outlined in a notes & bibliography document I’ll post alongside it to Miasmal (where this and similar things will be going)

A reality change from Human in July of 2023 to Austroraptor cabazai, flung back through deep time to the year 66,013,796 b.c.e, 6:47 pm local time; A hot and humid winter in the wetlands of Maastrichtian Patagonia at the tail end of the Cretaceous. Sort of framed in a way to capture some emotions I feel with my own struggles around memory loss, this felt like an interesting way to frame it.

Once my notes are cleaned up and everything is double checked, it’ll be posted to FA on my Miasmal account (CW potential on things that will wind up in that gallery!) and in the meantime, here it is as a preview, since this one can go here.

Tried a LOT of new techniques here including digital painting for the first real time with Procreate and simulated oils, and honestly? I love it. Expect more backgrounds like this, just like, not ALL the time because this took awhile lmaooo
