This is a poll about online features when the demo is released to the public. We will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each.

No online matching

Advantages: Public release can begin sooner.

Disadvantages: Fighting games are centered around PvP, so expectations for the game are significantly lowered, which is detrimental to gaining supporters.

Has online matching

Pros: Increases expectations, allows you to play against people all over the world instead of just practicing.

Pros: Takes time.

As a supplementary note, the "no online" option is for the time of the demo release, and depending on the support for the project, it may be implemented later. However, please note that there is a possibility that support will not increase for the "no online" demo.

I think online functionalities are an important step, and will generate more interest in the game. If it takes more time to create a demo that can showcase online features then it's a good opportunity to clean up some other things in the have to have a decent demo that can be circulated to get more eyes on the project.

A delayed game is eventually good but a rushed game is forever bad, I'm good with waiting and will keep on supporting your work even if it takes forever for the game to be fully released

In this day and age, online is super important, even if I personally don't use it. With how important online spaces are, online play is the only way to play with friends for some people, without it, most people are stick with the computer.
