Project road map as of June 2023 (Patreon)
Content
It's been a long time since the project started, does this chicken really want to complete the game? I think there are many people who think so, so I will explain my current outlook!
#Current goals
Needless to say, it is the alpha version completing. I will do it at the cost of my life. The alpha version will be open to the public free of charge.
◆ Alpha version requirements:
Implementation of Zdrada and Modeus
Complete all basic game systems
# Deployment after the release of the alpha version
◆ Season system
Set a term for game development. Whether or not to continue the project will be determined based on the project support status at the end of each season.
Alpha version: Modeus, Zdorada, new stages
Season 1: Lucifer, Helltaker, Pandemonica, new stages
Season 2: 3 characters (undecided), new stage
Season 3: 3 characters (undecided), new stage
Season 4: Loremaster, subject67, New Stage
Season 5: Angel general, new stage
◆When will the project be completed?
The project was launched in August 2021, but I started working on the project in earnest in November of the same year. After that, I spent about a year and a half building two characters and a basic program. This game plans to prepare at least 11 characters, so at the current pace it will take about 7 years.😣 Character animation takes the most time: The efficiency of this work is directly linked to the development speed.
Reuse of line drawing: I started using this method in the middle of the Modeus animation production, and the effect was wonderful!
Use of 3D models: Fighting games require a huge amount of animation, and hand-drawn animation takes a huge amount of time. It takes 5-6 hours for an attack animation of only 0.5 seconds. If you can use the 3D model of the character as a guide, you can greatly reduce the time spent messing with proportions and sketches. We are planning to set up a blender learning period at the timing when the alpha version is released.
Employment of animators: We have been recruiting volunteers for animators, but I realized that it would be impossible to secure an animator with the desired skills unless we paid a fee. However, it is difficult to hire one person at this time, so we are considering the contents explained below.
◆ Use of new support services
Currently, we are asking for support limited to patreon according to the rules set by Mr. Vanripper, the creator of Helltaker. However, in order to speed up development, it is unavoidable to increase the number of staff, and accordingly, it is necessary to receive more development support.
Kickstarter: The alpha release will be enough credibility to get support for the project. It's not continuous, but I can get a large sum of money.
Publisher: We have received an offer from a company, but we make them wait for a reply until the alpha release. In the event of a tie-up, there is a high possibility that paid content will occur in the game because it is necessary to return the support money to the publisher side.
Of course, these will not be implemented without Mr. Vanripper's approval.
Also, after the release of alpha, we expect that the project will gain more trust, more people will be interested in it, and the number of supporters will increase rapidly. As a result, even if sufficient support is obtained on patreon, it will not be implemented.
#Lastly
I apologize for the long wait. However, it is thanks to your support that development continues. Sincerely thank.
