The exiles from an enclave don't necessarily put much distance between themselves and their old homes; they are just marked as unwelcome, and undeserving of any protection or assistance from the rest of the population.

These ones tend to be those that cause problems for the human population, so the previous Matriarch let the human population know that there wouldn't be any hurt feelings if they decided to do something about these troublemakers.

There are believed to be at least several dozen exiles in hiding throughout the city.

One of them likes feet

Thanks as usual to Raptie for handling the character coloring and shading on this page!

I think I've seen the one that likes feet on 4chan before :p Who gave him a computer?

Blind that bitch, keep it up Kass!

Sesra

I really want nozhing more zhan zhe next cell for Kass's feet to be shreddin some eyeballs right now!

ArcadeDragon

Brakka should have known better thank to think Kass was helpless. If he had listened to Kass' lecture to the hatchling he would have known that Kass became the Red Lady by eating a human whole, or so the legend is now among the younglets.

Badviper

Rising action! Are we perhaps approaching the climax of a chapter?

Enth

SO glad Kass has a chance to show they’re still a battle hardened human on the inside. No yinglet panic, no flaking out, just straight to dirty fighting and an attempt on an attackers life.

Hazelwolf

Love how Kass’s reaction to his best friend’s stabbing is a very cool but forceful attempted throttling coupled with gallows humour. We all have our own unique coping methods in stressful situations, after all.

Potyka

Now are those yinglets exiles becaise all of them did something, or because some serious bith defects? The one liking feets has a hunchback?

Corvin

I have a feeling things are going to get rather dark. I'm not sure these outcasts would be beyond raping a female if they are as unwilling to cooperate as Kassen is. Also Elim, remember. Raw honey and strong Alcohol are good disinfectants and garlic helps with the immune system.

Badviper

I'm gonna throw a theory out there. We might have a 'Legend of Korra' situation wherein the ordinarily potent protagonist is rendered helpless and has to be rescued by her friends.

You mean Elim? Because Kass isn't exactly potent. More...ying. Competent for a Yinglet. But still...Yinglet.

Max Last

I'm not sure Yinglets even understand the concept. They can wrap their head around kidnapping an unaccompanied female for her own safety, but mating is so strictly controlled by the matriarch that I don't know if they have ever considered not having orders/permission. Except among the male yinglets with each other. Then I figure there's a pretty big dominance culture that includes assault.

Max Last

Oh. Oh wait. Oooh wait. There is at least one member of Kass' crew with nothing to do with their time, massively advanced/boosted senses in some ways, and an enjoyment of sitting still and watching it's friends from dark corners. Bug girl to the rescue?

Zhe Missing Drake

Zhree Zhings we can now be fairly sure of about Elim; zhe spinal cord was not severed, or he would have collapsed by now. Same for zhe abdominal aorta, as his blood pressure would immediately crash to zero. And same for zhe neural bundles. He may have a fighting chance! Maybe. Brakka's left eye is spilling out massive amounts of fluids, far far too much for tears. Zhat eye is now toast... ...Warm, buttery toast... mmmmmm... a perfect appetizer for zhe choke-menu! Brakka could still escape wizh his gang, but zhey have already begun zheir run wizh him down. And wizh Elim still standing. A small window of opportunity may still exist for Elim to stomp Brakka's legs, forcing his abandonment and enabling his apprehension and interrogation. But he cannot give chase or stop zheir flight. Unless somezhing else happens right now to stop it, Kass is now abducted. As for zhe boys, "Blue-Eyes" is probably zhe "mission keeper" sans Brakka, "Green" is probably zhe "strongman", "Mustard" or "Lip-Toozh", a pair of "dumb hands", and "Raspberry" or "Wonk-Eye", zheir foot-fetished, idiot fifth wheel, and *possibly* exploitable or trickable by Kass if a moment for escape should occur, and she still has her wits about her. And she now has somezhing else about her, she is finding her inner strengzh! And if she continues to "zenter herself" she may finally find and embrace her inner Yinglet. Zhe Spine Lizard seems to be having fun. But for Elim, Kass and everyone else, zhe "fun" has only just begun.

2026-09-26 21:00 I feel bad for Kass it’s one hell of a way to get kidnapped

Oh feet! Feet are okay 👌

Thorin N. Tatge

I find it funny that Kass approaches the situation this way. Yes, okay, you can kidnap me, but just let me finish killing your boss a little first, okay? And it's funny how the underlings put more value on their boss being tortured by a female than on his safety. Things look bleak, but when people's priorities are this silly, there's always a good chance they'll work out.

Zhe Missing Drake

For her banter wizh zhe boys, I zhink she senses zhat zhey are easily distracted, and so she is playing up zhe situation as a delaying tactic, to hopefully finish dispatching zhe little Oracle-humper. And her at once hostile and snarky talking at Brakka is like zhe trash-talk in many conflicts; to try to intimidate your adversary. And all of it is probably helped a bit by adrenaline, or zhe Yinglet equivalent. But was it enough to make a difference? Lets hope so.

Choke-A-Bitch: A How-to Guide from Kass, Matriarch of Choking Bitches

Thorin N. Tatge

I agree with your analysis! I wonder how similar Kassen's behavior would have been in a situation like this before being yingified. I think probably these tricks are in his normal box of tools, but his specific framing (It'll be great, I promise!) has been colored by yinglethood.

Merc Scar

Damnit Kass, use your head man. No really, that giant bloody shell tooth would have punctured a hole in his neck worse than Elim's knife wound there. Also, Elims taking being shanked through with a crudely sharpened chunk of steel rather well.

Saviliana Negalister

Kass would need that one alive, of he died, Kass would likely never know why would he stab Elim.

valsalia

Don't worry; while the comic's not going to shy away from "serious" subjects, I'm not about to go all grimdark or anything!

valsalia

Haha That's kinda the longterm plot of Kass' character arc

valsalia

It is not allowed to fry things

valsalia

Isher doesn't have boosted senses!

valsalia

It is really fun reading all this speculation; if only because it makes it obvious that a lotta people are thinking about the important things goin' on!

valsalia

And there are a LOT of ways!

valsalia

THAT'S WHAT THAT ONE GUY SAID ONCE

valsalia

You gotta admit, he's pretty good at it

valsalia

Yeah, he's still in the early stages of "there is suddenly a foreign object in me" freezing-up-ness
