I find it funny that in this AU, it's pretty clear how level-headed Elim is compared to Kass' canon reaction; which was just intense screaming.

I think it's really cute that Elim grows it out and just embraces his new girly physique. I also like that the tail poof is flowey and clean unlike Kass' unkempt mess. Nice touch

Elim has always been rather stoic, so him taking to the change better isn't really surprising. Kass being super protective of Elim isn't a surprise either (although I wasn't expecting "beat a citizen to death in the street for being an asshole" protective). Elim's tail placement in that last scene, ayyyy!
