It's strange how often healing requires a lotta hurting.

That stuff's meant to be poured into the bandages and left to sit a minute before the bandages are removed.

Oh man, poor Elim. Well...the fact it burns though means it's working...

Kinda want art of the Trademaster vs Lord Vetinari and it's just the two of them eyeing each other for a panel then turning away like "There is no victory here for either of us."

Vet

Oh I can agree. I had hernia surgery a few years back. Surgery was painless....I was totally out! Room recovery not bad....I was loaded with pain reducing meds. I went home later in the afternoon to recover....crawled in bed and slept. Next morning not too bad....till I sneezed! Now that F’ing hurt!!! I did tough it out as I had a prescription for painkillers but I didn’t want to get dependent. So two Aleve....and brace for any cough or sneeze! It was a right inguinal hernia tear. Turn your head and cough area. The fun part is there were two nurses in the operating room a guy and a girl. I later discovered I was fully shaved at the privates.....who did it? Did they laugh much?😁

Rebecca

Well, I can't speak for Elim, but forming compete sentences can be a little tricky when you're wounded, weak, and drugged to the nines ;P

I once had a nurse walk up behind me and swoop a hypo into my arm. Similar rational. I firmly disagreed with it at the time.

My father used to teach writing classes at NCSU. One of the first lessons in writing dialogue was to deliberately ignore proper English.

I don't know... given her strategy, I think her delivery of the concept was rather good!

valsalia

Haha- that's actually a very interesting and believable outcome to that

valsalia

Yeahhhh it's the recovery that's often the worst part : P

valsalia

Oh you had one of them *stealth nurses*

valsalia

Even punctuated the point with a physical element to help the message sink in!

Vet

I remember the long row of staples....looked like I had a long zipper!😁

It's the only viable build. I tried to do a run as dual wield melee surgeon, but before I knew it I was back to stealth arch....nurse.
