Feeeena's surprise pause may indicate that Vesaria is mistaken about what happened to this missing friend, but she decides to spare her junior's feelings on the matter. Or it may mean she's surprised by this perspective of being happy for others rather than sad for oneself, and/or that it reminds her poignantly of her absent friend. I'm guessing it's the latter.
