Narklet never picked up on the unspoken rule around the enclave that you do NOT talk about Zeska, especially around Kattajak.

Vizlet previously rejected Viracroix's offer of seeing to it Narklet had an "accident" in part because even if she had an airtight alibi the elders would still cast the blame on her and use it as an excuse to oust her from her own enclave (which would most likely result in the schism she's trying to avoid). If he wound up murdered by another patriarch - and one who is clearly on Vizlet's side - things would be even worse. The other part of why she rejected the offer is because, as previously established, she's actually just a big ole softie.

Rhetorical: Narklet confuses me because he's clearly so bad at winning hearts and minds. Was he the best of a bad choice? Is he just there to find the Sample and report on Viz's behavior, and everyone knows at least the second part? Or is he unaware that his role is to antagonize everyone until he gets ganked to give the Central Enclaves the excuse to remove Vizlet?
