Tonight, I'm speaking about the most challenging project I've taken on in a while.

I think it's really easy to have known public entities in a video. Digging deep and pulling out amazing stories from people that no one would otherwise know unless they're enfranchised in a niche of a niche is part of what makes your stuff great.

Julianne Edwards

Just upgraded my subscription to the $11 tier. Not because I care about gifts and such, but because I think Rhystic Studies matters. I think you matter and you are such an important figurehead in the MTG community. I love your editorials on all of the interesting and obscure bits on magic’s history. I love your deep dives into the art behind the cards. I love the history that you preserve from a fascinating viewpoint that might otherwise be ignored. Basically, keep doing what you do. I get you. I will always watch and listen.

Good for you for having the gumption to walk away from a sponsor that you don't feel your values align with. I can see where that would make you feel bitter and potentially regretful. I hope at the same time you can also feel a sense of pride entwined with those negative emotions. I also just wanted to shout out how much I love these deck histories and deep dives on tournament stuff.

Bro at this point i look forward to your videos more than playing actual magic. The way you guide people to confront what the game means, rather than what it sells, is laudable and Id much rather spend money on that than giving hasbro even more money

PLEASE do the screening idea that sounds like so much fun

For me, videos like oops and the lantern video are a refreshing break from the constant reactionary short form videos we’re constantly being shown. A mid-long form video talking positively about a thing I love and teaching me more about it is exactly the kind of video I look for and will watch multiple times

Your deck breakdown videos and card studies stand out to me becuase you depict the self expression, creativity, and community resource sharing that is the heart of magic. No one is guarunteed win a game of magic so why do we seek to innovate? That's what I love about magic. Im brand new to the Patreon, but ever since my friends shared the Gonti video with me six months ago I've been constantly watching and rewatching your work. I've only been playing magic for two years, but the constant barrage of sub par product and financial strain of staying up to date is already overwhelming. I appreciate how you are staying true and advocating for what you want from magic and what you want to provide for the community. We are not controlled by these entities they need us and need to do better.
