Pre-Prerelease and "The Colors of Ravnica" (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

I am back in Austin after a lovely trip to Victoria for the Guilds of Ravnica PrePrerelease presented by the Loading Ready Run crew. I wrote about my charming experience on my blog, which can be found here.  For those who missed the live broadcast, the VOD is on YouTube and Twitch.

I've also begun work on my next video, which will be a panoramic exploration of the visual design of Ravnica. I've had an insightful talk with Magic artist Titus Lunter about his work on the concept push, and I look forward to more interviews with other artists who worked on the set. 

October, for many reasons, is my favorite month of the year. In keeping with the spirit of Halloween in 2017, I produced my video on Jace called The Boogeyman which used horror movie tropes to frame Mind Sculptor's place in Magic. This year, I want to set a lighter tone and shift the focus to autumn and the changing of the leaves. As such, the next video is called "The Colors of Ravnica" and will be releasing later next month. It will be a bit poetic!

Finally, I hope you all get to your LGS for the Prerelease this weekend. The set is excellent, and for those who have never visited Ravnica before, I encourage you to champion a guild and register to play under their banner. The D20 in the prerelease packs are rad and sport the guild logos (instead of just the set symbol, like sets prior). If you are returning to Ravnica, I think you'll enjoy this year's mechanics. The cards are strong and seem very balanced in the limited environment. Have a blast with them!
