Happy new year, everyone.

I recently launched another video essay project that does not overlap with Magic. You can follow along here on Twitter and YouTube.  My first video is about my favorite Italian photographer Luigi Ghirri, and is in the same style as my artist studies.

This does not mean the end of Rhystic Studies: I've just wanted to write other videos that wouldn't fit here, so it was time to branch off and start from scratch on a new channel. As such, you won't be charged for this post.

Thanks for another excellent year of support and patronage. I appreciate you all and hope to see some of you in Vegas this summer.

Cheers, best wishes,Sam

Hey Sam. (It might reflect a little on my current mental state, however minimally... but,) This one moved me to tears. If funding is a roadblock to making more videos, regardless of content, then you should absolutely find a way to monetize. A separate Patreon? An a la carte on your website? I'd be happy to exchange currency for the feels I get watching a new video of yours. Thanks for killing it... again. (sheesh)

FYI the social media links are broken in this post.

rhysticstudies

there's something wacky going on with the hyperlinks on patreon. just search "blue map essays" on the respective sites and you'll find me.

rhysticstudies

we will see where the project goes. I don't want to monetize for a while if I can help it; I'd rather concentrate on my work and enjoy the process. thank you for the kind words, though, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed the vid.

Hi Sam! I’ll echo Dave’s sentiment - I’m all about the Magic content, but I’m happy to have whatever you turn your critical attention to, especially as it pertains to art. Follow your interests; I’ll gladly give the benefit of the doubt that it’s worth my time and attention. Hope you’re well, Max
