Today, I speak about how the Gonti video came to fruition, the inspiration driving its thesis, and the overwhelmingly positive community feedback it has since received.

Then at (22:50), I transition to discussing my early impressions with Elden Ring - how its systems turn passive players into active players, how the Souls games want you to succeed, and why Elden Ring is a resounding achievement against the current predatory ecosystem of video game design.

Here is a question: I have away from academia for a long while, stuck in the grind of warehouse work for the past 4 years, and am now trying my hand at writing again but finding it more difficult than it used to be. I know you've talked about your creative process before but what do you find is the best way to get from inspiration to written work for your videos?

Loved listening to this. I’m glad you’re enjoying the game. I’m a longtime fan of the souls games and am always excited to get to listen to the experience of someone new to it.

Rhystic Studies is the most unique content creator for MTG. If every regular viewer pays $1 per project, this channel is set because so many of us watch every RS video there is.

"What are your metrics?" ....Good question...

It always fills me with such joy to see someone else fall in love with the souls games, they're truly something special.

Man, this is the first of these I've had the chance to listen to, and Sam, I want to say: thank you for bringing your voice to all of us. Just, inspired. Goddam, I could listen to you talk about anything.

thank you for listening, and I'm really glad you enjoyed.

I've actually done a SL1 (standing for Soul Level 1) run in Dark Souls 1, and as you said, it becomes more a rhythm game where you just get into a flow of knowing when to dodge, attack, etc. to the music of the animations rather than the music of rhythm games which is normal audio music.
