What do you want this year? Today, I'm answering that question for myself, for Rhystic Studies as a creative endeavor, and for Rhystic Studies as a business. What do I want to make this year, and why? How do I continue to commit to quality in a hyper-saturated and high-velocity media environment that rewards staying at the top of an endlessly refreshing feed? How do I ask for help in a meaningful way?

I discovered your video essays last year, and i can't remember if it was the professor or spice8rack that recommend them, but I am glad they did. I particularly enjoyed "the season of the witch" video, in the 90's i remember my friend's parents forbidding them to play in hopes of warding off Satan. I agree that things like the DANDAN Deck is what makes Magic great. The flood of new products is overwhelming, and the current focus on profit is exhausting. I'm not ashamed to admit that i was one of the people tricked into watching/reading your essays, and thoroughly enjoy them. The detail and quality is worth the wait. I am also getting married, congrats. Looking forward to 2024

I'm glad that you're finding partnerships that align with your ideologies. Your ideologies are what inspired me to be a patron, and your creations are always with the wait. I hope you get to enjoy your creative freedom this year and accomplish your goals alongside your fiance!

I love this approach of less frequent and higher quality content (also not a fan of the word), there's way too much of it out there. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to meet you in Barcelona - and have you sign my Dandan. Looking forward to a new year of amazing essays, and maybe, just maybe, something on Blue Map Essays? One can always dream.

Getting real sick taught me—and RAPIDLY—how to get better at asking for help. If you ever wanna talk about it, call me up. <3
