Mochi and Eiki [ Character Sketches ] (Patreon)

GOD did it take me long to put my words down for this!

Here's presenting a couple of characters that I've been working on for a while, but only ever posted the very first drawing without context or anything, so since I'm drawing them more, it's time to give them some background info! These are characters that I've been working on with KrayshKast as a sort of D&D NPC/ Story side character duo.

Eiki is a Kitsune-Oni hybrid, He's a charming well respected merchant who owns a popular candy shop, while considered a pillar of his community, some say he's a man who can obtain and grant any wish, but for a steep price.

In secret rooms of his domain, Eiki invites specific customers looking to change their own lives, and after signing a contract he can turn specific traits into confections that can be eaten to gain those traits, and a lot of money for his business come from making those deals, having also gathered a vast collection of traits, ranging from height, to strength, to a learned skill, to a secret and even some powers.

His ultimate goal is to amass enough power to become a kami, and be worshipped as a deity.

Mochi is Eiki's evil minion (Self Proclaimed), They're a tanuki with the ability to be molded and split into smaller and smaller clones, which carry out chores and tasks around the shop.

In the past they used to be a powerful ninja, but she's unrecognizable from how they once looked, people aren't even sure if it's the same person, but many nasty rumors are said about them.

In reality, their reputation as an intimidating and huge ugly monster conflicted with her self image, being a tanuki who is really bad at shapeshifting, so they defected to pursue a happier life on their own terms
