Dev Diary #2 (Patreon)

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing great today!
Welcome back to my yappy diary! I thought I'd share a bit about what I've been up to and some thoughts on game development.
You know what? I've discovered my new enemy... it's skirts! Oh my gosh! They're so tricky to work with! They keep clipping through character's thighs, especially when the character has thicker thighs or is in a more active pose. And get this, I finished a whole scene, only to notice later that a character's skirt was clipping in the background. The scene was completely done, and then I saw it! Ugh, it meant redoing everything - the poses, expressions, the whole thing! All because of a skirt!
But then, something happened. The vibe, the feeling of the scene, was just gone. I couldn't recapture the same energy I had the first time. I even tried starting over from scratch, but it just wasn't the same. So, the character expressions and poses ended up being a bit different in the redo. I guess it's partly my fault for not noticing the skirt issue earlier! Oh, skirts! Lesson learned!
Next time, I'll be extra careful and thorough when setting up scenes. And another thing I'm learning is that you really can't rush creative work! If you do, it'll definitely show in the final product. And no one is really happy with rushed work, right? So, I think the best approach is to take my time and actually try to enjoy the process.
Trust me, no one wants to get this update out there faster than me! I wasn't completely happy with my first release. Even if it was just kind of an introduction to the game, I felt it was still incomplete. And that led to some speculation, which is understandable, but it’s been on my mind ever since it came out. But I've decided to resist the urge to rush and focus on making it as best as I can.
Alright, that's my little update for today! Hehe. Keep an eye out for some sneak peeks coming in the next few days!
