Tainted Harmony [v0.7.1] - Tainted Release (Patreon)

Hey friends! Long time no see! 👋After what feels like forever, this update is finally done!

I originally mentioned aiming for a mid-August release, but fate had other plans. There was some writing and re-writing involved this time. At first, I thought the script was completely ready for rendering, but as I started working on the scenes, the vibe just didn't feel right. So, I ended up scrapping it and writing it all over again to make sure it hit the mark.

Then came that scene, which features two different variations. That was a challenge! Who knew writing dialogue for a lewd scene could be this hard? I mean... other than all the ooh-aah, ooh-aah, lol.

Phew! I really wish I could have worked on this faster and released it sooner, but unfortunately, it just wasn't possible. I literally worked on this almost every single day, to the point where I kept asking myself, "Why is this taking so long?" It felt like I was putting in way more hours than previous updates, yet progress wasn't moving any faster. I always say I want to push updates out quicker, but this one ended up taking even longer, haha. Though for the next update, it shouldn't take this long... well, I hope so!

You know what? I even made something like a lore book to help me remember stuff! It's still a work in progress, but it really helps keep things organized for future writing. I guess as we slowly get closer to the finale, the story is going to become much clearer. I also just realized that while my head is already way ahead in the future of the plot, you guys are still on DAY 8! You guys are still back there? Keep up guys! lol 🤣

But yeah, time and energy have been my biggest constraints. I got sick quite a bit during this period and even hit burnout at one point. It was crazy! On one hand, I'm super excited to work on this because there's still so much I haven't shown you yet. But sadly, there are only 24 hours in a day, and I have my limits. If I could, I'd pump out this much content as fast as possible, but I guess that's impossible for a solo dev. So bear with me guys, I'm doing the best I can!

Anyway, enough with the ranting! Let's talk about this update!

Honestly, looking back at the early versions and comparing them to what we have now... wow, it's a night and day difference! For DAY 9 Part 1... ah, you know what? It's hard to put into words, but I genuinely feel this update is a huge step up from the previous ones!

Oh, by the way! The Scene Replay feature in the Gallery is live now for Tainted Tier and up! I haven't added all the scenes just yet due to time constraints. This is mostly to test if the system works properly. Going through every single scene is tedious and time-consuming, and since I felt this update was already taking too long, I'll finish adding the rest in the next update (probably).

This update also introduces Extra Stories in the Gallery. The story is fairly light for now since it needs to align with the main plot, so I had to put a "Pacing Cap" on it so things don't get too over the top just yet.
