The slightest knowledge of the works of Poe will make The Fall of the House of Usher even better.

Nox720

Love Panic Room.

Linda

Sling Blade? Really? Where is it available to stream? 😐

Paul Cox

Fingers crossed Sling Blade gets past copyright checks. It's widely unavailable for reasons unknown.

Smooticus

Hooray! you were able to find Sling Blade!

Jax

Totally agree. Midnight Mass had been my favorite Flanagan show but my love of Poe's works as a kid put Fall of the House of Usher as the new leader.

Brad P

Nice! I knew Usher would be coming but thought you might wait until Halloween. Another recommendation for a show that's currently running is the fantastic new version of Shogun on FX/Hulu.

Scott CineRam

Oohhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Panic Room is awesome.

Gerard Smith

Both movies are bangers, you'll def enjoy them.

f hf

Yall gotta do all the Fincher films

Smooticus

Usher is pretty good, although my least favorite of the Flannigan's four on Netflix (not dissing the show - i just said it's pretty good). It just uses an allegory we've been beaten over the head with the last 6 or 7 years. Not spoiling what it is, but you'll definitely know by the third episode at the latest

Duncan

2 Great movies ,looking forward to watching the full reactions of both

Foggy

panic room?! very excited

ron clint

Sling Blade is, and always will be, a film that will never age.

Hunter DeRensis

Where were you able to find Sling Blade to watch?

Florian Meier

Yes !! Panic Room is great !! Love Jodie Foster !! Next David Fincher must be "The Game" with Michael Douglas and Sean Penn !!! One of my favorite movies of All Time

TBR Schmitt

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we do not have that knowledge 😂 still absolutely LOVING the show! I imagine it is so much more clever than we even know! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I don’t think it is available to stream, unfortunately! An awesome patron got us a copy! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We almost waited until Halloween and did Shogun instead so you were spot on! We had the hardest time deciding between Shogun, Fargo S3 and Usher! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We weren’t able to find it streaming, unfortunately! An awesome patron was able to get us a copy! -Sam

Brad P

All great choices! I hope you get to the other two eventually.

f hf

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I know yall love WhoDunIt Films. Or Social Network if you guys haven't seen it

Paul Cox

As long as you save Benjamin Button for dead last, any choice is cool.

Philip Alan

I've never seen Sling Blade. I know, I know. So that'll be fun to watch! Panic Room is SO GOOD!

mikethemotormouth

Don't think we've done '97s The Game yet, right? That's the one I'm waiting for!

OddThomas

Panic Room is great. I hope you also watch Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, that's my favourite.

EdmanXERO

The Rise of the House of Schmitt

Ed Garland

I have a physical copy, but it is the Directors cut , run time of 148 minutes. Is that the version that you watch? I hope I can watch along with you two 🤞🙂

KevB(rewski)

I nominated The Game as my choice for the month!

KevB(rewski)

I just nominated THE GAME yesterday as my choice of the month. Incredible film.

The Dark Unknown

ive been waiting for someone to do a sling blade reaction for sooooo long! i cant wait hope it come out soon!

Ubermensch1

Sling Blade = best comedy of the 90’s

Mr. Chumpus

I also had no Poe knowledge when I watched this series. Looking forward to watching again with you and Daniel. You guys always seem to figure out stuff when I'm completely baffled

Linda

How does something that isn't available to most members get chosen?

Donna Castellano

Damn I thought I had a copy of Sling Blade and I don't. Can't even buy a copy on Amazon. Guess I'll have to watch the YouTube cut. 🥲

aarswft

It is amazing without any prior knowledge. That background just gives a bit of spice.

TBR Schmitt

It was selected during our monthly drawing, so it was selected at random. -Sam

Donna Castellano

I had no idea it'd gone off streaming either. The last time I'd watched it was via streaming. I did manage to find a DVD for a decent price on the third party Amazon shop. It's a double feature with Monster's Ball which I haven't seen, so at least I'll get to see a new movie too. 😁😁

nick B.

Regardless whether or not folks can watch along with Sling Blade, I do really hope y'all will still watch and upload as normal, as it something fans of the channel can always come back to later when they have it. It is for sure worth it, as it's a great film.

James Battista

I got it too. did you think it was the directors cut? it had more scenes than I remembered, making it tricky to synchronize with Daniel and Sam's copy
