I nominate 'Schmitt and Spin' as the name of the monthly drawing:)

Billy Bob started to gain notice with the film ONE FALSE MOVE, which he wrote and acts in. Its one of those relatively unknown crime thrillers that has a cult status. Highly recommended. Also stars Bill Paxton as a small town policeman caught up with some very nasty characters.

We were spoiled in the 90's. The only thing missing was high speed internet for civilians. This Daniel Lanois soundtrack was also a classic.

Paul Cox

It wasn't even his last role in a Billy Bob Thornton movie.

This was John Ritter's last role that I remember before he died.

The character of Karl reminds me of John Coffey, from The Green Mile. They both don't fit in society, but are morally sound. They exist to correct moral transgressions in society, like Christ. Karl is willing to use violence, which reminds me of the quote from Christ, "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." Matthew 10:34.

Bad Santa came out 7 years after this....

Thank you, Lana! We're not country music fans, so we weren't familiar, but this is great! -sam
