Should be good. I expect you guys will love Roger Rabbit. I rewatched The Player (Robert Altman) earlier this week. I highly recommend it.

Paul Cox

The Kid Detective, interesting! I haven't seen it, but mutuals on Letterboxd have given it decent ratings.

Domino

On your Fallout reaction Daniel was wondering about more Walton Goggins to watch, well I wanted to recommend that you guys watch The Shield (2002-2008), which personally I find to be the best TV show ever made after The Sopranos. So, just putting it out there! 😌

TBR Schmitt

Can't wait to hear what you think! -Sam

I changed my pick from If.... You should watch The Kid Detective, and before their reaction.

Anthony Rose

I can't believe you guys are doing the Kid Detective. I never see anyone ever talking about it. Should be a great after movie discussion.

EdmanXERO

Roger Rabbit is a childhood classic of mine. I'm so looking forward to it!

Paul Cox

Oh ok, I had no idea where that would have come from, but now it makes more sense 😁 I'll check it out this weekend.

Sergeant Pepper

I nearly picked The Kid Detective again for the monthly drawing haha

Brandon

I've been choosing The Player for the last few months in the movie draw in hopes that I eventually get picked. 😆

Brandon

The Kid Detective is SO damn good and SO damn under seen. I'm honestly thrilled to get to watch it again. Maybe you'll start a trend with other reactors and more and more people will get around to seeing this gem. 😎

Paul Cox

Yeah, I think if there's another Altman film that would lure them into a continued pursuit of his work, it's The Player.

Marcus Cato

I will be rooting for you to win!

One of my favorites is the Long Goodbye. I would love for someone in the reactorverse give that one a try.

Tyler Foster

Oh fuck, The Kid Detective. That's awesome. Not one I would've expected to see on the channel. Awesome. Another great one I hope gets a shot someday, I'm sure I've mentioned it before, another detective movie called Zero Effect (1998).

Tyler Foster

Any particular reason you changed it? Not that I'm complaining.

I just feel like it's more their kind of movie :) I do love The Kid Detective.

QuiGon_Jim

'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' blew my mind as a kid! It was one of the many films I had on repeat at home.

PIG

I was just about to post that too. Love Roger Rabbit! Surprised they never saw it!

Mike Miner

Love all the support for The Kid Detective. I love channels that use their influence to support independent films. Bravo!

Mike Miner

Chrissie Reacts just did it last week. She's doing some great indie stuff. Check her out!

Tyler Foster

I was going to say, just hopefully not some kind of availability issue. If... is on Amazon!

OddThomas

Kid Detective is severely underrated so I'm happy you're watching it

iliketostayhome

I paid for that one. She said she is going to make a YouTube edit.

Kevin Cheney

Coming soon to your local movie theater it’s Jollywood who framed the fugitive and detective Kevin

There's not a general discussion thread per se, so I'll just drop this idea here: It's been a minute since the last proper Noir poll, and with November around the corner it might be a good time for an alliterative theme ("November Noir" or "Noirvember"). This could be great in a lot of ways. The Noir polls are always super active with comments, the recent troubles of things clearing copyright might be skirted somewhat easier with films that are 60+ years old, and we can finally get a true read on the noirs you should react to since we've already cleared out most or all of the big Hitchcock films. Maybe you could even react to the top two instead of just the winner. :) Fingers also crossed we see a Classic Westerns poll in the near future as well. I nominate 'The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance' in the Schmitthead Drawing most months, but there are LOTS of other Westerns I'd be happy to vote for and see win.

VivendoBem

Well said. I'll second, for what it's worth, both of your fine ideas!

Birdie Num Num

I was kind of looking forward to If... I will pass on Kid Detective. I'm sure it's a fine film based on reviews etc, but I'm a bit selective in what I watch, and there are only so many hours in a day:)

For many on here, "classic western" probably means Silverado or Pale Rider. If there is a true "classic western" poll I predict something like Once Upon a Time in the West would get more votes than all the John Ford westerns combined. Of course Once Upon a Time is great but it is a revisionist western(as all the Leones were) not a "classic western." IMO

Florian Meier

Sam said under my post that there might be a new Western poll soon... So that a really good news ;) Classic Western Poll is a Great Idea, but then i would also a Make a Poll for Modern Western Like "Dances With Wolves", "Silverdado", "Pale Rider", "Open Range" ... and so on... But for Me The Main Thing is that Western Polls are coming Back !!

James Miley

Here’s hoping we get a western poll. So many great ones for them to check out. Also, I like Paul’s idea for a November themed film noir poll.

never mind roger rabbit i see you have not watched the brilliant jojo rabbitt
