Mr. Writhms

Congrats, Rokker X! "Death of Stalin" is hilarious!

Joshua Campbell

Judgement Night 1993. Emlio Estevez & Cuba Gooding Jr. Nobody has ever watched that movie but I love it 😀.

Marcus Cato

Great choice! Death of Stalin is a great movie.

chris brown

Great movie, congrats Rokker X

Smooticus

Yes! Death of Stalin is hilarious. Great satire (very) loosely based on actual events. Did I say this movie is hilarious?

Duncan

Fun little movie,we have been trying to get it on OctoKrool for about 3 years,it is a perfect fit for their channel

Roy Wright

That is a great pick congrats Rokkor X

Abel Salas Jr

Hope you get well soon and feel better TBR.

Samolina Pilchard

Stoked for Death of Stalin. Definitely a comedy, but a black comedy- with serious elements. It’s based on a French graphic novel.

Stephen Malloy

A super satire, along the lines of Dr. Strangelove.

Chris Bruneau

Congrats!!! what a good flick! Jason Isaac plays General Zhukov! he is great in White Lotus S3right now.

John DiGiantomasso

This is a great film, well written, brilliantly acted, and thoroughly enjoyable!

Steve Mercier

Absolutely spectacular movie! Funny as fucking hell.

Guston Zimasheen

Congratulations Rokker X. Great pick. Looking forward to this one.

Rokkor X

I won!! Yay! I feel like I just won a huge contest haha. I know you guys will love it. Feel better soon!

Matt

Great film, the director/writer made one of my favorite satirical comedy shows ever called "The Thick Of It" so I've always been a big fan of his work, looking forward to the reaction

VonPunk

Man, I've seen that and 'Trespass' so many times, these were the 90's movies all the cool kids loved, I worry they are being forgotten about, I hope The Schmitts can kick start a reaction revival for them sometime, cause I know they'd enjoy them.

Yann Laliberte

I recommended this movie quite often. Glad it won. It's amazing

Rokkor X

Thanks. I’m sure plenty of people are excited to see their video on it.

Yann Laliberte

Jason Isaac is a scene stealer in Death of Stalin

Jen Barnes

Congrats! I've been meaning to watch this, so this will be perfect.

Nicotti

Agh! Three away from winning! Congrats Rokkor X!

Jim Morrish

death of stalin is fantastic, love it

Jim Morrish

damn straight, he's superb in it

Skinny_Obelix

It's important knowing before going in, that all the bits are based on real events. As absurd as they might seem.

Rokkor X

Thanks! I was so close to winning before. Good luck next time!

Paul Cox

lol I never zoom in to see how close I got. Not knowing is better for my peace of mind 😆

Lee N.

Congratulations, Rokkor X. 🙂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

For those keeping score here are the previous winners(no playlist available, I just have a good memory) - The Paper, Sneakers, What Lies Beneath, 48 Hrs, Swordfish, Patriots Day, The Kid Detective, Assassination of Jesse James, Serendipity, Andromeda Strain, 3 Women, Sling Blade, Six Days Seven Nights, The Elephant Man, War Games, Grosse Pointe Blank. Looks like the 90s to early 2000s are the most popular time period(also from the other picks on your google sheets). Hope something from 40s, 50s, 60s gets in there at some point.

Paul Cox

I've nominated the same movie from 1962 almost every month this has been taking place, but I'd been considering the last couple days switching it out for something else just to tempt the spin wheel gods. But now that you've gathered all this info, I may stick with it for another month just to spite them lol!

Birdie Num Num

If... from 1968 did win a spin, but the patron decided to change his pick.

Birdie Num Num

Paul Cox, is Liberty Valance your favorite western? What was the other film you submitted for the drawing?

Paul Cox

It's my favorite John Ford western. The other film I submitted a couple times was a very tiny Japanese indie from 2015 named Sweet Bean. Hard to explain why it affected me so much, but I think it's one everyone should see.

Birdie Num Num

I checked out the trailer, looks good. I see the full movie is on youtube.

Tim McKnight

YES!!! I’ve thrown this in a few times…you’s are in for a treat!

Neal Romanek

Amazing! Such a great movie! A history lesson that is both terrifying and side-splittingly hilarious.
