Golf or you two, golf or you two. One of my fave episodes this!

One of my favorite episodes

Great writers indeed. They built an entire series from basically one episode of Breaking Bad. Saul's ring, his real name of McGill, being kidnapped by Walt and Jessie and thinking it was Ignacio or Lalo behind it. And of course the whole back story of Tuco, Hector, Krazy 8 and how the lab was built. Amazing work.

Oh man, we have now arrived at this momentous part of the series. Everything changes now. The ending of this episode always gets me excited. Slippin' Kimmy has now entered, and right after that we get Lalo's introduction. When Nacho walks into the restaurant, and the music is blasting, I get a big smile on my face and I start dancing in my chair. It can't be no coincidence that the Kim and Lalo scenes are back to back. All the main players are in, and now we get to the part of this show that really makes it deserve all the praise it gets. I am hyped for the final two seasons. Side note: In this episode we get a peak at Jimmy's subconscious peaking through. Jimmy has buried his grief for Chuck so deep that it never shows itself to him or others. But, in the moment of pulling off the scam for Huell on the phone, he just happens to tell a story about the church catching fire and how Huell went in to save those inside. Out of all the stories he could have made up about Huell being a hero, it's interesting that this is the story that he tells. The writing in this show can be very subtle, and this is a great example of that.

Oh man. your guys wrap up had me rolling. the comparison of chuck and lalo being "don't mind me" people lmao

Mr. Chumpus

Buckle up kiddies. The show has been tame so far. Welcome Lalo

Nacho solves his Tuco problem, only to get a much worse Lalo problem...

Corks

The Adam Sandler movie you were thinking about was The Water Boy, and that is a Southern Louisiana Cajun accent.

When you watch this show again, all you want is for Lalo to appear and it takes FOREVER. Thrilled you have finally made it this far!

Ed Nunez

Lalo's here Business is about to pick up 😮

Mike Medaugh

Have you seen any scenes featuring young Kim? I can't recall which season they aired in, but they are important to Kim's story. She has an amazing character arc, and she is such a well-written character. As others have noted, the quote from Breaking Bad, Season 2, Episode 8 is: "It wasn't me; it was Ignacio... Lalo didn't send you?" Lalo is possibly the best villain in broadcast TV history. Buckle up!!! Nitpicking but his name is Domingo right now, but soon you will see how he gets the name Crazy 8. Damn this is like my 4th edit to this post, but just wait till you see the next cold open!

Smooticus

Oh shit, I forgot this is when we meet Lalo. Y'all buckle up. This dude is so charismatic and charming and sinister as hell

TGrimace

Now isn't a bad time to rewatch the scene in Breaking Bad where Walt and Jesse drag Saul out into the desert when they first meet him. It's hardly a spoiler, since you've watched Breaking Bad, and it has some things that nobody paid attention to back then, but fits in now :D

Ellie Williams

Bienvenidos Lalo! We were all waiting for you.

Elijah Ramirez

I get people are excited in the comments but I wish some of you would keep it to yourself. Setting up expectations IMO are spoilers. Finding out what happens without any pre-conceived notions gives a much better reaction than if someone were telling me to be excited about it before I even saw it. Wouldn't it better if Dan and Sam figure everything out as they go along as if they were watching the show as it's airing?

Abel Salas Jr

The Baptist Church webpage for Huell is real. You can look it up and they have all the pictures etc as is shown in the episode. And if you hit the donation link it actually take you to a page to donate to a food bank. Jimmy's line about Watching Roy Hobbs knock out stadium lights is a reference to the Robert Redford baseball movie The Natural.

Julian San

The introduction of Lalo is so good.

TBR Schmitt

How they were able to intertwine this show is INSANE! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

No, I don't think we've seen a young Kim -Sam

TBR Schmitt

LOL We are pretty far into the series, so it does take awhile! -Sam

Guys, not to give anything away, but Lalo is my favorite villain ever. You'll see why. This isn't really a spoiler alert more like a reminder because you saw and heard it, but you likely forgot it, so maybe it is a spoiler after all. Stop reading if you don't want to be reminded of what you've already heard but forgot. In the BB episode when we first meet Saul, entitled "Better Call Saul," when Walt and Jesse have kidnapped Saul with a bag over his head, then rip the bag off his head to show him he's kneeling before an open grave, Saul cries: "It wasn't me! It was Ignatio! (which you know is Nacho's real name.) Did Lalo send you?!!! It was Ignatio, not me!"

jeff

Sam, you should be, but it'll be a good scare :)

jeff

so agree, but no, they haven't seen the Kim flashbacks, you should keep such stuff to yourself, lol

jeff

Technically speaking, Nacho solves his Tuco problem to get a worse Hector problem, THEN solves his Hector problem to get a worse Lalo problem, and Gus problem; but you're right, I'm just being nitpick

jeff

Never thought of that, dude. Nice insight!

Wow, as I look at these comments, I see spoiler after spoiler after spoiler. WOW!!! TBR, do you have mods to monitor the spoilers?

Marcus Cato

I'm actually here revisiting parts of the series, and I remember how annoyed I was with everyone hyping up Lalo.
