Better Call Saul Season 5 Episode 6 'Wexler v. Goodman' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

Ellie Williams

I'll write more after watching the reaction, but I'm fairly confident in saying that among the fanbase, Kim's last question in this episode is the biggest WTF moment in Better Call Saul so far. Even on subsequent viewings it's like, W T F ?!?!

Kat and Kaizo

Sorry if it's been brought up already, or is intentional, but the intro doesn't have the BCS music that it usually does. Love your reactions! Been waiting for this episode for a while.

Marcus Cato

It was definitely a "what the F are you doing?" moment for Kim.

PIG

“Yuuuuup!”

Huffster999

There are YouTube compilations of every time Kim says "OK" in the show.

We have another subtle Breaking Bad easter egg in this episode. At the police station, we see a detective that had appeared in Breaking Bad. But, more important than that is what he's talking about on the phone. He's trying to convince a man there's likely not a dead body under his porch, but instead an opossum. It's very likely that this detective is talking to Jessie Pinkman. In the infamous "Fly" episode, Jessie tells Walt a story about finding a dead opossum under his Aunt's porch. This just shows how the writers will pull the tiniest details from Breaking Bad. I love it.

Kat and Kaizo

Ah okay, I figured it was something like that if it was intentional. Gosh dang copyright.

Smooticus

The wonderful, amazing, enabling and ultimately toxic relationship of Jimmy and Kim

Lol You ain't seen nothing yet...

I assume you have seen Breaking Bad? If so, you should remember Gus and Max (RIP) at the pool with Eladio/Hector.

Vince Gilligan always taps into basic primal emotions in people. A middle aged man who finally wants respect and recognition. Lifelong resentment between two brothers. For Kim who clearly had issues with her irresponsible, lying mom, she unconsciously is drawn to the irresponsible, lying Jimmy. I think it's a big reason Jesse stays with Walt so long. His parents completely disown him and now he chooses Mr. White to fill that role. Even Dr. Melfi mentions to Tony that the kind of women he seeks out are similar to his mother. "We need to repeat what's familiar, even if it's bad for us."

I think when Jimmy looks at Howard, he thinks of his brother. And Jimmy doesn't want to deal with his feelings about his brother, so F You Howard!

Ray Johnson

We're about to crank it up to 11 and I can't wait!

I noticed the intro theme has been muted last couple episodes. Intentional?
