- Ellie singing "Take on Me" is a special scene in the game and now a really beautiful scene in the show. In both game and show it's sweet and completely and wonderfully unexpected. Shoutout to Isabel Merced who is killing it as Dina. This is the clip from the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFebcBRSiBk - It's fun to think about what level of education Ellie and Dina have. Today there are basic common things everyone is taught, but what the heck did Fedra teach in their schools? Does Ellie or Dina even know what giving birth looks like? Does Dina even know what a trimester is? Also in the game there is a funny scene where they stumble into a bank and there's tons of cash sitting in a vault but it means nothing to them. How different would all of our lives be if there was no such thing as money? - The Last of Us is a big budget Sunday Night HBO show. Expensive production value and large action set pieces. And the lead characters are two young gay women. How awesome is that?

Fun fact: The actor playing Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) also voices him in the second game. So this would be the second time this show had a voice actor/actress portray the same character in the game (Merle Dandridge was Marlene in season 1 and the first game). Makes me wonder if it'll happen again in season 3. Haha. Incredible episode. I was tense, and I've PLAYED the second game. 🤣

While there are only 7 episodes this season, Part II of the game will span over 2 seasons on the show so it'll actually be 14 or 15 episodes total, spread out over the 2 seasons. Kinda like season 2a and 2b, similar to what Breaking Bad did during it's final season.

Joel probably had restrung the guitar. It's back in her room, stood up instead of chucked onto clothes, at the end of episode 1 IIRC. Part of me is still clinging misguidedly to the possibility that season '3' will drop soon after season '2'. I know some don't like game talk, but when it came out the reviews at the time were basically banned from mentioning anything about what would essentially be season 3, so for good or bad we got twice as much game as we were expecting. Although we know a lot more in the show, so I'm probably miles off. Your reactions (in general, not just TLOU) are too good by the way; the amount of stuff you pick up really quickly is almost detrimental!
