That was Sauls office from Breaking Bad that they showed at the end. Doesnt look the same without the inflatable! Also......you have seen his client Spooge before too; he is the guy who got crushed by the ATM machine in BB.

I love the way they will give us a really weird scene at the beginning of the episode and leave of us on the hook before telling us what's going. I agree that the first Kim and Mike interaction felt huge. I loved the way Mike says 'I was' when Kim remembers that he was the attendant. It must seem like a lifetime ago for him now.

TGrimace

Haha. I came on here to point Spooge out too.

To be fair, just become someone mentions someone's name in Breaking Bad, it doesn't mean they're alive. I felt bad when you mentioned he must be alive because Saul said his name. But there wasn't exactly a way to correct you. "Oh no. You misunderstood. Nacho is soooo dead. You'll see in a couple of episodes". Probably wouldn't have gone over well :D

Sam’s disapproval face cracks me up! Ha!

Okay, I almost said something on the previous two episodes, but then I figured I should wait until this episode. In the previous two episodes, you asked why Mike would put that envelope in the safe and essentially fuck over Nacho. Ultimately, as is generally the case with Mike, I think Mike is thinking five or six steps ahead. Mike likes Nacho, and he would help him if he could, but I think Mike can tell by Gus' demeanor and the way everything is going that there's just no outcome where Nacho survives -- but there ARE outcomes where Nacho's dad is left alone. When Nacho's holed up in that motel watching out the window, he is in Gus's pocket, a card to be played, and Nacho will have no control over how that happens. So Mike gambles, and it ultimately shakes out that Nacho ends up in a position to make a demand, which Mike can then see through. It may have signed Nacho's death warrant, but that was being signed anyway, and the resolution is pretty much what Mike wanted and Nacho is ultimately satisfied with, as satisfied as he can possibly be under the circumstances. Also, you say that you wish Nacho had been able to say Gus did it, but one of the things I like that could easily be missed (because Nacho is doing SUCH a good job sticking the knife into Hector and twisting it) is that he does get in one little "fuck you" to Gus when he describes how agonizing it was to watch Gus save Hector's life.

So true. It's heartbreaking when it slowly sinks in that Nacho has no way out of making it out alive, but there is always some sliver of hope till the end.

The song in the opening of this episode Best Things in Life is by a female trio called the Dreamliners. My Aunt Sylvia is 1 of the girls singing. Also, the saying "the wicked flee when no man putsueth" is from the Bible book of Proverbs 28:1. It suggests that a guilty conscience causes fear in someone even when not being actively pursued or persecuted by somebody else.

Haha we missed both of those things! But Daniel gave this comment a shoutout next episodes 😂 -Sam

😂 this show brings it all the emotions! -Sam

Oh okay, interesting! I like it! The only good in this is if Nacho’s dad ends up being left alone! Nacho’s final scene deserved every award! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh wow, how cool is that! Thank you for sharing! Ah I think that could be relevant for quite a few characters on this show! -Sam
