Comments

Paul Cox

Congrats, Philip! They'll love it.

Joshua Campbell

After you finish watching Harry Potter, I recommend Mission Impossible (Tom Cruise). Another awesome eight movie franchise to enjoy 😉.

Stephen Malloy

So, you haven’t seen The Three Amigos? Well, maybe someday soon!

Santiago Hardy

I suspect one scene in particular in Parenthood will stand out to you both.🤭

Paul Cox

Oh I just remembered, this means you'll get to see Tom Hulce again in something that's not Amadeus! I do wish he'd been in more movies.

Backlog Andy M.

Parenthood. Ah saw that in Florida in 89, with Lethal Weapon 2, Uncle Buck and i remember my parents saw When Harry Met Sally!

Opie Wan

Parenthood was my second choice. You'll love it.

Duncan

Great movie, very happy with this winner, watched it so many times as a little kid, then re-watching through adult eyes, it is a completely different experience and movie. Congrats Philip. Also i'm calling it now, Daniel is going to show up for the reaction dressed as 'Cowboy Gil' 🤠

EdmanXERO

Damn, I was wondering if you haven't seen "Only Murders In the Building" because I wanted you guys to react to it. XD Congrats, Philip!

ElmSt Reactions

Cmon sam where's this Scottish part of you, magic my film in there 🤣

Marcus Cato

What an amazing pick. I've been rooting for this a long time, even more since they announced they were becoming parents themselves. Congrats to the spin winner!

Jax

Congrats Philip! If this was on a poll in the past I probably voted for it. Dianne Wiest's "Oh yeah?? I thought you looked familiar!" always cracked me up

Mark Ultimatemusings

Congratulations Philip and everyone else who picked this movie! I was 18 when this came out. I can’t wait to rewatch it.😊

Kevin Charley

Just based on the quote I know it's Parenthood.

Tyler Foster

He's only in it for one scene, but I would love to see Stranger Than Fiction (2006) on the channel.

Tyler Foster

Congrats to Philip. Looking forward to it. There's lots of Steve Martin you guys ought to see. My recommendations: • The Jerk (1979) • All of Me (1984) • Little Shop of Horrors (1986) -- I prefer the director's cut, but you should watch both endings in a hypothetical reaction video • Housesitter (1992) • The Spanish Prisoner (1997) • Bowfinger (1999) There are plenty others that other people will recommend, but these are the ones that I love.

Marcus Cato

I wasn't expecting to enjoy that one, and a couple buddies had to talk me into it, but it's absolutely brilliant!

Byrd N. Hand

The summer of '89 may still have been the most stacked summer for movies ever: Tim Burton's "Batman;" "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade;" "Lethal Weapon 2;" "Ghostbusters 2;" "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids;" "Licence to Kill" (the 16th James Bond movie); "Dead Poets Society;" "When Harry Met Sally;" "Uncle Buck;" "The Abyss;" "The Karate Kid, Part III;" "Star Trek: The Final Frontier;" "Parenthood;" "UHF;" and "Weekend at Bernie's."

Byrd N. Hand

I'd also add "Pennies from Heaven," "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid," and "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels."

Jen Barnes

Amazing, wonderful movie! Congrats Philip.

Smooticus

Don't forget LA Story

Smooticus

Good winner for December

Paul Cox

I was thinking "have they seen enough classic noir to get Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid?" But then I remembered the first time I saw it I was probably 10 or 11 and I loved it without having any context at all about what the film was doing.

Raven Dark

I got an email for the December entries post, but I can't find it now. Was it taken down, or did I miss it?

Guston Zimasheen

Congratulations Philip. So refreshing to see so many people choosing Parenthood.

Future Boy

It was posted early by mistake. Sam said it will go back up December 2nd.

Future Boy

The spin wheel probably has the best taste in this entire community!

Max Rinaldi

Me against a thousand other Schmittheads, I couldn't win.

Rudy Hernandez

I will definitely take this as a win!! 🏆 This movie has been my recommendation since y’all started this. Looks like I’ll have to come up with another movie from now on lol.

John Fitzpatrick

Parenthood is when I started taking Ron Howard seriously as a director. With that film, he stepped up a notch.

Philip Alan

Cool beans! You'll enjoy that movie! (I always pick a duplicate movie! Better chance to win!)

BRT

When I think of my favorite films I don't typically think about "Parenthood" but then when someone mentions it, or I get to see it, I remember that it actually IS one of my favorite films! Looking forward to the laughs, feels, and tears welling up🤗

Dan Holmes

Parenthood is great! Stacked cast for sure :) can't wait for you to see baby Joaquin Phoenix (who is credited as Leif Phoenix in this one I believe)

Dan Holmes

Please watch The Three Amigos for maybe the funniest film ever made starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Chevy Chase :)

BRT

He's got a special knack for directing great films based on vastly different themes and stories. The main thing they have in common is that I typically, deeply identify with the characters and end up REALLY feeling something. Also, anyone who has never watched the first few seasons of The Andy Griffeth Show is missing out on one of the most adorable kids, little Ronny Howard, to ever appear on screen. The later seasons are also great as Ronny matures and deals with early adolescent issues, but the earlier episodes are on another level. Of course he was also great in Happy Days, which again I think are best in the early episodes.

BRT

Such a great moment!😂

BRT

Great pic Philip, congrats.

JayDee AhBooWan

It would be nice to see who the winner is in the comments without waiting for the video to load.

Abby

Thank You Phillip! Been Waiting on this one Forever!
