Netherlands looks to be dominating! -Sam

Yes. Last 10 mins. Sweden had some chances. One goal and they are back in it.

Steve Mercier

An imperfectly perfect Western. Chriistian Bale is always awesome, and Russell Crowe shines in this, but Ben Foster as Charlie Prince steals every scene he's in. Good shit.

Paul Cox

That's a cool story, Ruben! (sp?) 3:10 to Yuma is certainly one of Crowe's finest performances, and we know from Ford v Ferrari that Mangold and Bale bring out the best of each other. Three more Russell Crowe reactions I hope to see at some point: The Quick & the Dead Cinderella Man Mystery, Alaska

Daniel Karlsson

Lets pretend that game never happened :(

Sharon Stone saw Russell Crowe in Romper Stomper. Invited him to Hollywood. She even delayed the film and Paid his air fare to get there. She fought producers for him. With Leo DiCaprio the studio was not going to pay him. So she covered his salary. By (1997) both actors hit it big time.

This, 1883 and Open Range are probably my top westerns. Hostiles, also with Christian Bale, is another good one. Kevin Durand who played the guy who got forked to death also played Proximus in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes: "What a wonderful day!"

Athos Count de la Fère

I saw the original on cable. I like this remake better. Saw this in the theater.

miles

oddly enough if i ran into you guys id probably say this movie too lol

Smooticus

Was going to watch the full reaction today but got tied up with Netherlands vs Sweden and Braves vs Brewers

Ben Foster steals this movie. He's another of my fave character actors

thomas king

I am with Sam. This one of my all time favorites

Well, I guess I know what I have to do now: Travel to LA, track you down, "randomly" bump into you on the street and request a movie!

I do hope you get to watch the original 3:10 to Yuma with Glenn Ford, even if it's off-screen! Glenn Ford seldom gets mentioned nowadays, although he was a pretty big star in the 40s - 50s. He's most famous role has to be Gilda (also a film noir!)

Matt

For a different kind of role by Ben Foster check out LEAVE NO TRACE 2018 absolutely beautiful film

Matt

2007 was absolutely wild for westerners with 310 to Yuma, No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Assassination of Jesse James 🤠 crazy

Abel Salas Jr

I really like the original of this with Glen Ford and Van Heflin. The ending is different from this and the characters are played different but both of these versions are good.

Future Boy

I saw this when it was new and somehow forgot how much I loved it. This rewatch was long overdue and made even better by your reaction! And now I really can't wait for the day you watch The Quick and the Dead. Gene Hackman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Sharon Stone, and many more faces you'll recognise. Directed by Sam Raimi, and I think it could be the most fun you've had with a western since Tombstone!

TBR Schmitt

They were all incredible! What a cast! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Noted! Would love to get more Russell Crowe on the channel! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

We have so many more Westerns to get to! Makes me so excited! Oh how funny, a small connection, I love it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

So funny! So glad we got to check it out! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Wait, insane! Those are all the same year?! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Ok, I love that the end is different!!! Makes me even more excited to check it out then! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

So glad you enjoyed your rewatch with us! The cast for The Quick and the Dead sounds incredible! -Sam

For gen x kids, we were introduced to Glenn Ford as Pa Kent in the 1978 Superman. Have loved discovering him in earlier things as the years have gone by.

I'm still waiting for The Outsiders, Red Dawn and Glengarry Glenross to make it on here. With your guys significant 1980+ modern movie coverage, i am SHOCKED these haven't found their way to your channel in the last 5+ years.
