Help pick the Keanu movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Constantine, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction. Sam has seen The Lake House so this would only be my first time reaction.

Comments

Lucas Coker

I would've liked to see Hardball on here. Great Keanu movie..

Cactus Tony

Point Break and Constantine are FIRE. I think Sam would love Constantine.

Korny

I enjoy the devil even though I’m not an advocate.

Alex

So you know if you do Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure you have to do all 4 movies.. (The 4th one surprisingly isn't bad.. but don't expect a sequel on par with Top Gun: Maverick)

Tristan Durant

Hardball, Knock Knock, The Gift, & Something’s Gotta Give.

Nicotti

Chain Reaction is another good one.

Sabeeh973

This is too hard...

Aaron Barlow

Constantine and The devil's advocate are great movies. So is Bill and Ted but for sure you guys have seen it.

Nismo

The Replacements with Keanu is a funny sports movie!

Abby

He’s great in Parenthood with Steve Martin

Ian

Chain reaction with Morgan Freeman and 47 Ronan cuz who doesn't love samurai swords 😃 , lots of good choices though 👍 btw wick 4 was amazing I loved it

William 1611

"The Replacements" is a very funny film, and Keanu is very good in it. But I couldn't vote for anything on the list, because I think his finest performance as an actor was in "The Gift" (2000), co-starring Cate Blanchett, Billy Bob Thornton, Hilary Swank, and others. The movie is very neglected. Without discussing the plot, it would belong in the mystery, suspense, or paranormal category. He was excellent in "Knock, Knock" (2015) as well. These two oughtta be on your list! C'mon, guys!

Philip Davetas

I wasn't the biggest fan of the first BILL AND TED, but I love the second two flicks. But POINT BREAK is just a prerequisite.

Alex

I'm gonna go and assume you haven't heard of the 4th one. Bill and Ted: Face the Music: It came out a few years ago.

bosho11

Liked Constantine, but gotta go with Point Break

MacGuffinStuff

I already know A Scanner Darkly isn't going to win, but it's an interesting movie... okay it's weird. But how often do you get to see Robert Downey Jr and Woody Harrelson talk shit to each other? I wish they'd do more movies together honestly.

Marcus Cato

No love for Little Buddha? Just kidding, don't bother with Little Buddha. I am surprised My Own Private Idaho isn't here though.

Shehab Dawoud

Point Break is without a doubt one of the greatest bad movies of all time. Happy we’re getting it. But I’d also like to see The Devil’s Advocate at some point, despite Keanu’s terrible acting. Pacino steals that movie. I’M A FAN OF MAN!

TGrimace

Heh. If you're looking for an interesting Keanu movie, Johnny Mnemonic is the way to go. Beautifully bad.

Mr. Chumpus

Actually there's only 3 Bill & Ted movies and the last one was HORRIBLE

Nick of Time

A Scanner Darkly should be in the sci-fi poll. And it should be getting more votes than this.

Future Boy

I like Chain Reaction (1996) way more than the reviews did. It's great fun, with a great cast: Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Brian Cox, Fred Ward, Rachel Weisz.

Future Boy

I have to go with Point Break, which will also get us more Swayze. Then Road House!

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

IMO, Chain Reaction is worth reacting to, the IMDb score does not do it justice. It also has Morgan Freeman, Rachel Weisz, Fred Ward & Brian Cox alongside him.

Paul Cox

Yeah, Keanu and, especially, Alex Winter seemed so proud of 'Face The Music', and I wish it would've been even half as good as they said it was. But I didn't really like the second one ('Bogus Journey') either, so maybe it would've been better to stop after the first. But who knows, maybe this phantom Bill & Ted movie Alexander is talking about that isn't 'Excellent Adventure,' 'Bogus Journey,' or 'Face The Music' is good? heh

Wes Senna

The Gift (2000), a supernatural murder mystery from director Sam Raimi, and My Own Private Idaho (1991), Gus Van Sant's modern deconstruction of male street hustling (mixed with aspects of Shakespeare's Henry IV) are both excellent films to definitely consider. In my opinion, they feature Keanu's finest performances by far and I can't recommend them enough! Idaho also features the late River Phoenix in one of his standout lead roles.

Rue

Of course, I had to vote for my faves, but there is another one that I used to watch constantly years back, called A Walk In the Clouds. It's such a gorgeous movie!

MacGuffinStuff

That's true, they were great together in that too.

Neal Romanek

Going with Bill & Ted of course. But some really great Keanu's - and great movies - not on the list are Dangerous Liaisons, Parenthood, My Own Private Idaho, and one of his very first movies, River's Edge.

Rudy Hernandez

PARENTHOOD!! Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, Keanu Reeves, Joaquin Phoenix, Dianne Wiest.

Another great - really obscure - Keanu performance is in I Love You To Death, where he plays a bumbling would-be killer alongside William Hurt.

Alex

Movies made nowadays are rarely good, so I don't blame the guys in this thread that think FTM is trash. I wouldn't say it's great but they should watch it and make up their own mind. For completion sake. What they should do with these situations is make a poll.. like After watching the 3rd Bill & Ted, make a poll entitled "Should we watch Face the Music?" and let that decide.

Vwlss Nvwls

Yes, Chain Reaction is a must see Keanu Reeves movie imo.

Dee Aitch

LOL the most obvious two are winning by a landslide. Get thee some Bill and Ted, stat!

Abby

So BAD... lol

Abby

Oh yeah... MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING with Kenneth, Emma, Denzel and Keanu!

Florian Meier

They watched Speed on the Channel 4 Months ago

squix

Uhh... Johnny Mnemonic, duh. ;)

Arki Kali

I'm also a fan of The Replacements. Just a fun romantic comedy. :-)

Paul Cox

Not kidding, actually a serious question: why do you keep saying there are four Bill & Ted movies? The original from 1989, Bogus Journey from 1991, and Face The Music from 2020 are the only ones.

william

Some of my favorite movies of his are I love you to death, Parenthood (1989), Much ado about nothing (1993) and Chain Reaction (1996)

Alex

When I saw this I realized I couldn't think of what the third one was called and I just looked it up right now. I think I got confused because both B&T and The Matrix had sequels that came out recently and Matrix was a trilogy.

Alex

A Walk in the Clouds is also a good Keanu movie. And Devil's Advocate is also Al Pacino.. I didn't even notice it on the list!

Ken Veader

Devils Advocate is the best on this list

Marcus Cato

I had completely forgotten that he had a small role in that! Regardless, that's such a great movie that I recommend to everyone. Would love a reaction to that if they haven't seen it.

KevG

Any poll with "Constantine" will get my attention. "Smoke 5 times a day for 20 years. What did you expect to happen John Constantine?

Lucas Coker

Hardball is a great movie.

Mark Majeski

If neither of you have seen Point Break, this needs to be corrected.

mikethemotormouth

It is criminal how few votes Scanner Darkly is getting. And I agree with Nick, it should be on the Sci-fi poll. My second favorite PKD adaptation.

OddThomas

As a Keanu fan I've always found PB his least interesting role tbh. Constantine and Bill and Ted are better imo

Nathan Steele

Yeah...point break is awesome but c'mon...you gotta watch bill and Ted first bruh

Nathan Steele

Best Keanu movie is The Night Before

Brian Shipman

"Parenthood" should be on this list. Such a stacked cast!
