Hi All! I (Sam) have a few outside-of-work-hours, work events that I have to attend this week so our filming has been pushed back a little! We'll still have The Sopranos and two films (The Goonies & Seven Samurai) up this week, but they'll be up a bit later in the week this week and on YT! As always, we hope to one day not be behind :(

Hope you're having a great start to your week!

Jason Dolan

We take it when we can get it!

Ian

We always appreciate you undating us Sam work comes first as it should do its truly mindblowing how you both have jobs and get so much content out even when you're both feeling ill too so don't worry we are a patient lot 🙂 oh and happy world circus day 🎪 random I know but thought I'd share lol

Smooticus

You'll enjoy Goonies (and be a little surprised at the fact that kidnapping and threatening 12 year-olds with murder easily made for a PG rating)

Smooticus

No worries, Sam. You guys are doing a great job oh, and Yeeeessssss! Seven Samurai!!

Shehab Dawoud

I'm assuming Oldboy isn't far around the corner since it won the foreign poll? Not that I'm complaining about Seven Samurai. Akira Kurosawa is an absolute master. Hope you also check out Rashomon one day. One of the most revolutionary films ever! And like the others said, take the time needed to sort out your personal stuff, no problem.

kbobravo

The problem is that it's not streaming anywhere, not even to rent, which is honestly crazy.

Alex Park

Good! Please take your time to avoid burnout. I love your reactions so much, I'd much rather see you guys happy in a few videos than no videos at all.

TBR Schmitt

Unfortunately, we can’t find OldBoy anywhere! We’re doing Seven Samurai as the runner up and if/when we do find it, we’ll add it to the schedule -Sam

Shehab Dawoud

Man, that sucks! I'm pretty sure it would be on some streaming site if it was an American movie. Oh well, you can only hope..

Jen Barnes

No worries. Your older reactions are awesome to rewatch. ❤️

Sol95

Rest and good health come first. Some great movies this week and Sopranos will be dynamite!

Alex

Awesome, The Goonies!

dieselbeast

Y'alls weekly schedule stresses me out 😂 lmao more power to you guys! Y'all are top notch so no worries 🙏

Erwin Quiachon

I usually recommend "Throne of Blood" before "Seven Samurai" Throne of Blood is about half as long as Seven Samurai and is also based upon that Scottish play, MacBeth, which I thought Sam might prefer.

daron85

Ahhh my favorite 2 episodes too ugh. I was waiting all day. I understand though.

esclad

Bummer :o( I thought you filmed them over the weekend.

Future Boy

If they went up at the usual time, I would have seen them by now. Now I still have them to come. I'm rarely a "glass half-full" kind of person, but in these cases, I am!

Future Boy

A great schedule all round this week. But since you're already juggling your time a bit this week, it might be a bad time to watch/edit a 3h 27m film! Feel free to re-juggle as necessary!

Mark M

Oldboy is streaming on Crave in Canada.

TBR Schmitt

We’ve actually been moved out of our house for 2 weeks because they were doing drywall repairs and we’ve been sneaking in when we could but it was completely blocked off and the filming room was inaccessible ☹️ we usually do film on the weekends though! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha we thought about it but I think we’re ready to tackle it! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Sorry! We’re very excited for these episodes too! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you! We will check this out and see if it works for us here -Sam

Donna Castellano

I'll wait no matter what. 👍 I'll just be watching the Sopranos eps tho. I seem to be the only GenX who doesn't like The Goonies and don't have time right now for Seven Samurai.

esclad

House repairs definitely take priority ;)

bosho11

Looking forward to Goonies and Seven Samurai! If you love the dollars trilogy, you really gotta watch Yojimbo!

Paul Cox

Gen X'er here too, and I didn't see The Goonies until just a few years ago. I'm sure I'd have liked it much more if I saw it when I was 12, but as an adult it's just...ok.

TBR Schmitt

Seven Samurai is a commitment with that run time haha -Sam

Stan the Man

Figures it’s this week that the delay happens lol Any idea when the episode will get released?

Vwlss Nvwls

I cannot wait for Seven Samurai. It is one of my all time favorite movies, and I try to watch it at least once a year, so I guess watching along will be one for this year. :D

Robert Smith

Life has it's priorities for us all. Know you two have been not feeling 100% for some time now... Get rested too. Looking forward to sharing when you can.. till then [😄🐶🙂] ::::::: 👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👦👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧👨‍👨‍👧👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 we'll wait..

Florian Meier

Really no Problem Sam ;) Seven Samurai is Great, you also have to watch " Yojimbo" (this was the Inspiration of A Fistful of dollar) ... Still hoping you going on with the Dirty Harry Series and the Fourth film "Sudden Impact"

James Miley

I highly recommend that you watch The Magnificent Seven (1960) at some point. It's basically the western version of Seven Samurai. It was directed by John Sturges who also directed The Great Escape and features a stacked ensemble cast which includes some of the actors from The Great Escape including Steve McQueen.

Florian Meier

Second That !! Great Western !! Love Yul Brynner and Charles Bronson in this

Ken Veader

Sam and Daniel, if you haven't seen the show "Son's of Anarchy", I highly recommend.

Stan the Man

SOA? Really? That’d be like ordering A happy meal after eating the Ribeye steak & Lobster that is The Sopranos lol. SOA reminded me more a soap opera with long montages & bad music. My opinion anyways. I know that show has its fans. It just seemed so faux to me. Like it was trying so hard to be badass. In my opinion, The Wire has gotta be the next show. You gotta do the “Great HBO TV Shows”. Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood. Maybe Rome. I suffered thru two Seasons of SOA & I just couldn’t stand it. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Not my cup of tea.

Guston Zimasheen

I think Nikki & Steven React have only just started reacting to Sons Of Anarchy on their channel?

Brian Shipman

Life happens, we will be ever patient. Can't wait to see your take on the Goonies. Of course I will keep advocating for Wes Anderson movies in every comment. Bill Murray is in damn near every one of his films.

Ken Veader

The Wire is boring and Rome sucks. The best HBO show they could do is Six Feet Under . SOA is way more entertaining than every show you recommended.

Elisa Pfau

The Wire is "boring"???? EHHHH this aint it! lol

Adam Baker

SOA was pretty cringey.

TBR Schmitt

We watched them last night! Daniel’s going to try to get them edited tonight for the Full Length and they’d need a night to export and upload so we’re hoping for Thursday 🤞🏼 -Sam

Stan the Man

I mean…if you look at most “greatest TV shows of all time” lists by critics you’ll find the shows I recommended. One show you won’t find? SOA. It’s cool you dig it, and I’m sure one day they’ll react to it. But the shows I mentioned have one thing in common, which is they are considered to be masterpieces of the medium. Oh and each of them were created by a guy named “David”. (Chase, Simon and Milch, then of course there’s Curb Your Enthusiasm which was created by Larry…David). Question: Have you seen all of The Wire or Deadwood?

Opie Wan

Well if we are recommending dramas, I second Deadwood. Absolutely loved that one. Then there's Breaking Bad followed of course by Better Call Saul. Ozark on Netflix is also on my list. And if you want something more recent, Interview with the Vampire on AMC is outstanding.

Stan the Man

The dialogue on Deadwood. My god. When I first watched the show I expected all these western staples like gun fights and horse chases or train robberies. And there’s very little of any of that. But I didn’t care because the characters and dialogue are never not poetry. I was so thankful they had the movie come out. But what I wouldn’t have given for just 1 more season…

Korny

I hope your guys get paid for clicks because I keep looking for you next Sopranos reaction.

Future Boy

Some shows are so great that they transcend their genre. The Sopranos is my favourite show of all time, but I'm really not into mafia/gangster stuff at all. Deadwood is also in my top 5 shows, and I'm REALLY not into westerns. I'd love to see Deadwood on the channel!

Paul Cox

They didn't post the weekly graphic over here this time, but on youtube it says the uploads are Fri, Sat, and Sun this week.

Korny

Thanks, so Sopranos here should go up today?

Stan the Man

Wait. So who is TBR if the guys name is Daniel? Apologies if this has been explained before but I’m just curious. I thought his initials were “TBR”. Or does TBR stand for…”The Best Reactions”?

UNC

Cannot wait for The Sopranos drop! Such great episodes!

Ken Veader

Yes I've seen every show you mentioned, Wire IS boring, Deadwood is decent, SOA is flat out more entertaining then both those shows combined, that's why it did better than your corny appeal to tv critics choices

Ken Veader

Nah but you using that word as a grown man is

David Wilkins

Why not post them next week, and use this time to “perhaps” get ahead by a couple of titles?

Paul Cox

@Stan the Man "TBR" and Daniel are the same person. What the "TBR" means is a secret he and some gaming friends will take to their graves (even Sam doesn't know). In the Q&A a few weeks ago (which you should definitely watch, it's fun!) he explained that was the name he started the channel with a long time ago and now it's just going to stick around.
