Help pick the Comedy movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Old School, Blast from the Past, Rush Hour, American Pie, and Borat, so this would only be Sam's first time reaction.

*We received a ton suggestions on previous polls, but we are trying to keep the poll sizes more reasonable. We have noted all suggestions for future polls!

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Geeeez these are all good lol. I pick Old School, then American Pie. But you’d luuuv Blast from the Past too. So hard to choose

Atlssf

Rush Hour is Amazing😁

Nick Sneddon

Borat is up there with Team America for actual proper crying with laughter laughs

Reed James

I mean, Crocodile Dundee. He's an Australlian legend.

Paul Cox

It's Spinal Tap's turn, y'all. Do it for Stumpy!

Deano

Not sure how dazed and confused is a comedy as such but it's a must see film for the soundtrack alone

Charles Gaba

This Is Spinal Tap is a near-perfect comedy, but as someone else noted, it's infinitely better if you were around in the '80's.

David Crabtree

Dazed & Confused is actually my favorite movie! Old School and American Pie are definitely two of my favorite comedies.

aarswft

What's the point of this Brendan Fraser high if we're not voting Blast From the Past people.

Alberto Ramirez

Dazed and Confused is iconic and a must watch coming of age movie

TBR Schmitt

We haven't seen it, but Google, IMDB and Wikipedia all list as a comedy :) -Sam

Lucas Coker

"Oh my lucky stars, a negro"

Shehab Dawoud

Is it because you don’t like it or you prefer another movie?

Alex

Borat and Dundee are neck and neck. I think American Pie is one of those things that doesn't even need to be on a poll. It's just a given that it and every sequel will be watched. One of the best movie comedy series ever made. And a few of the most iconic characters ever made. And it started the road towards "Movies you can't watch with your mom." lmao Speaking of movies you can't see with your mom.. Superbad. unless you guys have seen it?

Deano

I know its weird, it is but isn't, also huge news on the baby, when it popped up you both had a special announcement, I was like it can really only be that, ❤️❤️

Tristan Durant

Dundee 1 & 2 you can skip the third installment 😏

David Crabtree

I'd call Dazed & Confusedmore coming of age, but there is a lot of great levity and comedic lines and situations throughout.

Deano

Defo a coming of age (an age I wish I was around in 🥳) there are some funny and iconic 😉 lines

William

Caddyshack!

Mr. Chumpus

Has nobody else suggested Back to School? Maybe it's just me, but I thought it would be a must watch

Dor

Dazed and Confused is so damn good.

dieselbeast

Blast from the past would be a fun watch, oh well maybe sometime later this year lol

Justin

Dazed and confused

Jeffrey Miller

How has 'Coming to America' not been on a poll yet?

Rudy Hernandez

Naked Gun 2 and Old School are comedy classics.

Catherine LW

Some Like it Hot is rated the number one greatest American comedy. Please consider it!

Terry Lee

I really like most of these movies on the list, but I would really love to watch old school, rush-hour, and American Pie again!

Alex

And Jackass.

Athos Count de la Fère

Caddyshack. Rodney Dangerfield. One of the best stand-up comedians there ever was.

Ian

Ever since I recommend rush hour during one of your twitch streams ( I do miss them ngl ) and Sam wrote it in the book in be been waiting for it to make a poll so it's a no brainer what I voted for 😀 I have my fingers crossed 🤞

Neal Romanek

The biggest must-watch here is Spinal Tap. And you already love the director, Rob Reiner (Misery, The Princess Bride, A Few Good Men, Stand By Me)

dieselbeast

Random comedy suggestion, Chris Farley - Beverly Hills Ninja, my favorite Farley movie 🍿

Marcus Cato

Exactly. Billy Wilder doesn't get enough love.

Marcus Cato

Parenthood would be a great choice even without considering your recent news.

Michael Buhl

I love Dazed and Confused, but I didn't vote for it because, although I'd classify it as a comedy, it's so much deeper than "just a comedy." I did vote for This Is Spinal Tap because it is THE mockumentary! There were mockumentaries before it (for instance, Zelig came out one year before Spinal Tap, and The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash came out in 1978), but Spinal Tap really set the standard.

Jimmie V

'Grosse Pointe Blank' is one of my favorite comedies and the writing is whip smart so you gotta keep up. That and 'High Fidelity' are my two favorite roles with John Cusack (although the comedies he did with Savage Steve Holland in the 80s, 'Better off Dead' and 'One Crazy Summer' are also really fun).

Aaron Barlow

Crocodile dundee is a brilliant film but more an adventure film than a comedy

MapleResolve

Wow, I never expected to see Blast from the Past on a reaction channel. Such a small, underappreciated movie that few people even know about. I'll vote for the underdog.

Florian Meier

I vote for Crocodile Dundee, it would be a Great Reaction ;) , Suggestions for the Next Comedy Poll are "Beverly Hills Cop" from 1984 and "Coming to America" from 1988 ... Both are Classics and Eddie Murphys Best Career Time

C

I'm also voting for Blast From the Past -- underappreciated

Jim Frykman

I'm just glad that Spinal Tap has gone higher than 11

Paul Cox

I can always tell someone whose family had HBO in the 1980s, because they swear by movies like Caddyshack or Crocodile Dundee. Are they good? No, not really. You just watched them 300 times when you were nine years old so you think they are.

aarswft

What a strange connection to make.

Shehab Dawoud

I haven't seen Dundee but Caddyshack is easily one of the most overrated movies ever. I did not laugh once and I'm not being hyperbolic

Shehab Dawoud

Looks like Rush Hour is gonna win although it's still early. I'd be happy with that. Carter and Lee are easily my all-time fav buddy cops. I'm sad that Borat has slipped so far behind though. It is easily one of the funniest things ever made. Sam's reaction would've been gold. Hope it shows up on another poll, alongside Coming To America, as some have suggested, and Friday! (1995)

Paul Cox

Yeah, and I'm not even averse to that whole Lampoon's style of humor and have frequently loved Dangerfield, Ted Knight, and Bill Murray in other situations, but Caddyshack is a gigantic DUD.

Shehab Dawoud

@Nathan It's a pretty weird and aggressive statement without any reasoning behind it.

Jeff B.

I’d like to recommend (if not already seen) “A Fish Called Wanda”. Two Monty Python alums, Jamie Lee Curtis, and an Oscar-winning performance by Kevin Kline make it a must-see comedy caper.

Nathan Steele

Weird and aggressive?!?!?!...who are you?!?!?!

Ken Veader

I wanna recommend Overboard (1987) with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, classic romantic/comedy

Lucas Coker

The only scene that was remotely funny in caddyshack was bill Murray in the pool. Back to School is a much funnier Rodney Dangerfield movie.

JVTrickypants

An absolutely AMAZING movie that I just realized I can't find a single reaction video for on YouTube is As Good As It Gets, which just got put on Hulu. Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt won best actor/actress Oscars.

Sweetish_Jeff_26

I’m going to suggest an older film that was later adapted into a TV series: “The Odd Couple” (1968). Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau are excellent in it.

Korny

This is a movie I watch every time it’s on TCM. I love Hopscotch too.

Ken Veader

Absolutely, it's a must see for comedy

Paul Cox

Another one that made me laugh so hard I nearly blacked out was MacGruber. The group I took to the theater with me was considerably less entertained, but gauging the senses of humor of the Schmitts based on past reactions, I think it would be a hit.

OddThomas

Crocodile Dundee is a classic. So much fun, if a little dated now in its attitudes.

Chris B.

“He drank it hot?” “Yeah.” “Good god.”

fallingupdownthere

If Caddyshack loses to Rush Hour I will have lost a little hope in humanity.

AdmiralZhou

Definitely need to add 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street to the list

Cody Sutton

How in the world did Rush Hour win this?? Lol so many better movies on this list. Please do Dazed and Confused!

David Crabtree

Dazed & Confused is my favorite movie!

YoureMrLebowski

maybe i'm just old school, but i'll always prefer a first watch for both.
