Comments

Samuel Bruce

Ohhh, time to go down a fun tv show road!

Marcus Cato

Y'all gonna make me give money to Hulu now? Curse you, TBR! 😂

bietz

oh hell yes!

Steve Mercier

This show is sooooooooooooo fucking good...

Mark M

I know I have watched this series streaming somewhere but it must have moved to Apple TV. I'll have to catch the youtube uploads.

Will Zamora

You guys might be interested to know that the Coen brothers did a movie starring Billy Bob Thornton , Frances McDormand, and James Gandolfini in The Man Who Wasn’t There (2001)

TBR Schmitt

😂 we also had to sign up for Hulu for this haha -Sam

TBR Schmitt

If you haven’t watched this show, get on it!! What a start!! -Sam

Night King01

Billy bob thornton is like Anton Chigurh on steroids in this show.

aarswft

Pretty sure you've got that backwards.

Jimmie V

Hell yeah! Can't wait to watch with you guys!

dieselbeast

How dare you cheat on the sopranos lol 😤😂 jk jokes aside, I Just watched the first episode now gonna watch the reaction with you guys, it kept me engaged enough definitely gonna give the rest of the season a chance, as far as billy bob thornton goes obviously he has a great catalog/career but the only movie that comes to mind that I would love for y'all to react too one day where he was amazing in is called "The Alamo" from 2004 I believe, I'm probably in the minority in that simply because it's regarding U.S. history but specifically Texas history, (I'm from Texas) not many if any have reacted to it but it's a great movie! It also stars Dennis Quaid fine actor as well, if that helps lol

dieselbeast

It's on Hulu, they have a 30 day free trial if it's your first time with them

JG

Seasons 1 & 2 are both phenomenal, but after that, the quality dips big time.

Night King01

Yeah your probably right. They definitely are really similar though

Steve Mercier

Love the show all the way through...but respect your opinion!

VivendoBem

I know many in this community have expressed their desire for you guys to react to at least the first 2 seasons of this, and I would like to reiterate that sentiment. Season 2 is connected to Season 1 in a way none of the other seasons are and S2 was, for me, just about the best thing on TV in the last 10 years. S3 & S4 have their moments and are worth reacting to (or watching on your own), but 2 is FANTASTIC!

Jonny Kerr (JK)

This season is incredible. 2 gets even better in my opinion. Great show. A lot of people watching this don't realize who made this show. Another reason it's so great. The perfect and craziest. yet true to life story lines.

Jonny Kerr (JK)

He's amazing in this. Probably one of the best killers ever written. LM all day. Only Hanzy himself can challenge him. Just wait, Fargo will be your new Sopranos.

Ian

Oh man another show I have no interest in 🙄 but seems it's popular so enjoy guys 👍 I'm working my way through sons of anarchy so I shall continue that instead 🙂 hope you're doing well and the baby isn't kicking to hard 💕

Mr. Writhms

Watch episode 1 and you will be interested. It will hook you that fast.

Marcus Cato

Dang, I forgot how absolutely nuts this show is. Lol

Ian

Well I can't stand the movie so if it's based on that unlikely it's my thing I skipped the sopranos cuz that's not my thing either even though I know it's considered excellent 👍

Hunter DeRensis

I'm just ecstatic that you two are starting this show; I must join all the other commenters in agreeing that you should watch season two as well. It connects to this first season in just the most satisfying way, and is just as good.

Mr. Chumpus

It isn't based on the movie. How would you know you're not interested if you don't watch a bit of it?

Stan the Man

Before my subscription ends with the next billing cycle, I gotta know, what does “TBR” stand for? Anyone know? Buddies name is Dan. So what is TBR? “The best reactions”? “Total Bum Rap” “Two Broke Republican’s”? “Trump’s Broken Republic”? “The Big Risk”? “Tomorrow Brings Rain”? “The Bored Romulan”? Oh I know. “Terrible Bullying Rules”. Anyone have a clue?

MacGuffinStuff

Personally I liked all of the seasons, but I have to be honest, the first two seasons were the best, in my opinion. The first season is awesome, it really lives up to the Coens' Fargo legacy, but the second season is I think one of the best seasons of any show ever made. I can't wait to watch the rest of the first season with you guys, you're gonna trip out, Billy Bob's character is very Anton Chigurh like, but I say he's like Anton but funnier, Chigurh had no sense of humor, Malvo is hilarious.

Ian

Put it this was I can't stand the godfather and I'm pretty sure I don't need to watch a bit of godfather 2 to know if I like it or not 🤷 however I do understand your point 👍

TBR Schmitt

LOL both terrifying in their own way! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you for the recommendation! I hope you enjoy Fargo! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you, Robert! We weren't anticipating that, but we're definitely trying to figure out the best way to get more Fargo and start a new series after baby comes! Logistics aside, we'll definitely find a way! -Sam

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Lorne is the man. Cold blooded. Just wait for Hanzi. They have the best characters

Jonny Kerr (JK)

It’s not based on the movie. If you like Sons you’ll like this even more. If you like serial killers and crime families and murderers and amazing writing you’ll like it. Season two is even cooler. One of the best shows ever written in my opinion. And I love Sons, grew up on the sopranos and the wire. But Fargo is just bad fucking ass. Ruthless characters and the most clever writing I’ve ever seen personally. But shouldn’t have to convince anyone, you’re just missing out if you don’t watch it. You’ll see it eventually I’m sure

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Bad analogy. Besides the title, there’s nothing about the movie or even similar lol. It’s 110% different.

Ian

🤔 ok maybe hearing this has me intrigued if the writing is as good as say black sails and Ozark I think yes I should at least try it 👍

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Yeah there’s no beating Milligan or Dodd or bad ass Hanzi. The Native American Lorne Malvo lol. Season 2 is so great too. Season 3 kicks ass too I think. Yuri the Cossack of the Plains. Love that part. Mr Wrench?? Come on lol. Whoever writes this stuff… I hope they got awards.

Jonny Kerr (JK)

I say go season 2 and 3. And don’t leave Doctor Senator hangin and miss 4… it’s worth the watch to see a young Milligan. It’s all connected and probably will be important for when season 5 is out.

dieselbeast

He sort of answered it in the QnA, I can't remember verbatim exactly what he said but something to the effect that it was in reference to him and his buddy's playing video games before the channel started, he never told us exactly what it meant lol but that's ok, I'd like to think it stands for The Best Reactors lol

Marcus Cato

If he played any basketball, could it be 'The Big Rebound'? I'm all out of ideas.

TBR Schmitt

Thank you, Ian! Sorry this show isn't your cup of tea, but hopefully the next one will be! Only 10 episodes :) -Sam

David Wilkins

Yes, it’s great. And yes, all of it wraps up in 10 episodes. Season 2 is completely different, and the cast is great, including Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and a great against-type role by Ted Danson.

Stan the Man

Question for ya Ian. Just curious. You’re into SOA but Sopranos isn’t your cup of tea, both are about organized crime and gangsters. Granted both handle this about as differently possible, but why does one interest you but the other not? Just curious.

Ian

The Italian mob stereotype doesn't interest me the sons of anarchy is a show the guys at work never shut up about so I gave it a go and the characters are great so I'm enjoying it

Sebastian Syrinx

It's a secret between him and his friends, apparently even Sam doesn't know it

Alex

This is probably the biggest underestimation in the history of my life. I have heard of this before and for some reason I don't really know why, but I thought this show (and the movie) were probably the most mundane crap ever made. LOL This is so f*cking great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. This is the best thing I've watched since Ash vs. Evil Dead.
