Paul Cox

FORD V FERRARI yesssssssssss

YoureMrLebowski

this will be awesome. Amurica kicking ass and taking names, on the track and around the world! 🎆🇺🇸🎇

Trepanation21

Oooh, FvF will be a really enjoyable viewing. I second the recommendation of "Rush" if FvF lands well for you. Also, unrelated, but me keeping an eye out for a "Wind River" appearance one of these days hopefully 😯 Back me up, people!

Team America LMAO

Erwin Quiachon

Everyone should check out Popcorn In Bed's reaction to "Rainman" from yesterday. It's her best reaction so far because she talks about her sister, who has special needs.

Gerard Smith

Team America 🤣🤣🤣 oh man, thats gonna be a good reaction. The opening of of the movie is def one of my favorites. Non stop nonsense.

Philip Davetas

Oh. Sam, you might not handle TEAM AMERICA.

Smooticus

Team America is hilarious. You're going to die laughing Ford vs Ferrari is one of the best racing movies ever, and the best racing movie in the past 20 or so years.

brismithejedi

TEAM AMERICA!!!! I am way too excited for this reaction

Garmonbozia93

Watching a Matt Damon movie right after Team America is funny

Paul Cox

Haha I didn't clock that, but you're right

Pete

I like it!

Jonny Kerr (JK)

Pumped for more Fargo!! The story gets soooo crazy and so good it’s mind blowing. The twists and how it correlates to season 2. Can’t wait to keep going with this. No other show is like this. They have seasons. Fargo has years and decades. It isn’t just a show. It’s a brilliant piece of art they put together.

Paul Smith

You should watch more old classics, and one particular movie I would like you to review is Seabiscuit, it is a true story and nominated for an academy award for best picture.

TBR Schmitt

We didn’t realize that either! 😂 -Sam

Ken Veader

Seabiscuit an old classic?

Aaron Barlow

Team America!!! FUCK YEAH!!!

Aaron Barlow

It'll be fine, you'll love it. The puppet sex scene might be traumatic though hahah

Florian Meier

James Mangold is a great Filmmaker ... You Reacted to Cop Land and now to Ford vs Ferrari ... Another Great one is "Girl Interrupted" from 1999 with Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie and Whoopi Goldberg

Philip Davetas

If they watch the R-rated version. The unrated is extreme.

Ja Hu

Even some deleted scenes are great in Team America: Tim Robbins: You corporate puppets got what you deserved. Chris: Don't f call us puppets, you're puppets.

OddThomas

When I'm 80 I'll still find Team America hysterically funny. One of the best comedies ever made.

OddThomas

You should also watch Noah Hawley's other show after Fargo: Legion. Now THAT really is crazy.

Mr. Writhms

TEAM AMERICA will be a fun reaction! I hope Dan doesn't utter the dreaded line... "I HAVE seen this one." Please no, no, no.

Marcus Cato

Sorry to hear that man. I did enjoy your comments on the Sopranos reactions. When I see the occasional annoying comment, it takes an effort for me not to respond. But I try to keep in mind that moderating comments is probably the most annoying aspect of running a reaction channel.

Shehab Dawoud

Sorry to hear that. I had a similar case where the same deranged individual was making personal attacks for no reason. I also told Dan & Sam but in my case, the coward deleted his comments before they could see exactly what he said. I genuinely think he has a mental defect, it'd be fair to assume so by the way he talks to people. So I just chose to ignore it from that point. I can't be the judge or jury in your case but it'd be a shame to walk out. But if that's how you feel, all power to you.

dieselbeast

don't wanna say the guys name in case im wrong, but if its the same guy that was unnecessarily rude to me I'm not surprised

Ian

As someone who hasn't read any of the sopranos comments I can only say it's sad you feel your only option is to leave Reluctantly as you put it which implies it's not something you want to do easier said than done but maybe give it another month try your best to just ignore the horrible posts and just not respond to them bullies have being ignored more than anything and will just move on after a time . But if your mind is set in stone I'm sorry you feel it's something I must do but I wish you well

Since Stan decided to “go public” after our private conversation, we’ll respond the same, and try to address all the accusations made from his comments because our characters are being called into question. Some background, we’ve made a handful of posts since 2021 that you can find under “announcements” that ask all patrons to be respectful of each other, specifically stating “Everyone’s opinion on a film that they love is valid. Comments attempting to invalidate someone’s love of a movie, will not be tolerated”. After the finale of The Sopranos, a patron gave a recommendation for a new show, in which Stan replied comparing said show to eating at Burger King after a steak, or something along those lines. Those comments were then deleted by the original commenter who made the recommendation. Stan then replied again and name calling ensued. We were not privy to these comments, nor did we see the deleted ones. Our attempt to solve the issue was to message the other patron involved that it is unacceptable to name call. We let Stan know that we reached out to the other individual and that this was a long-standing patron who had no previous issues in the past that we could recall. Stan was disappointed in our attempt at a solution and stated that he expected us to have a zero tolerance to name calling and immediately ban the other individual. He then accused us of not removing him because of how long he’s been a paying patron. My point in addressing that he had been a patron for so long was to show a history in regards to comments, whereas Stan has been a patron for a couple months and has previously apologized to us privately for a separate issue as well as starting disagreements with other patrons. We’ve actually received a private complaint regarding comments Stan has made, in which we asked the patron who raised the complaint, if the situation could be resolved by trying not to engage with Stan and they agreed. Regarding this specific issue, we have gone back and forth with Stan for a few messages in search of a resolution. Stan did not want to take any responsibility in instigating the initial fight or acknowledge that this isn’t the first time. It was clear he wasn’t going to accept anything less than us banning the other patron. Eventually Stan expressed his desire to leave our patreon. We let him know that we always want people to be comfortable in this space so if our Patreon was no longer fulfilling, we’d completely understand if he no longer wanted to be a patron. We believed we had an understanding of Stan’s desire to leave and we decided it was best not to continue the conversation as it was proving unproductive to making Stan feel better. We wrongfully assumed communication would stop until his subscription expired, and he would move on to a different community more in line with his hopes and expectations. In response to Stan’s comment today: You claim to be anti-bullying yet this whole issue originated because you ridiculed an individual’s suggestion. That individual, at no point, asked for your input or feedback on their suggestion. You inserted yourself into that comment and made their suggestion feel inadequate. A simple solution to your displeasure would have been to give us a suggestion of your own without feeling the need to downplay others. You claim that this should be an open platform and a place for public discussion, giving you the right to comment your opinion on other suggestions/comments. But when your negativity was met with negativity, you then wanted a zero-tolerance policy that shields you. In our entire Patreon history, we have not made the decision to ban a single individual. Instead, like I previously mentioned, we have made repeated efforts to make public comments asking all to cool off heated discussions and remain civil. We actively communicate through private messaging to help out with any issues or discomfort. Even though it was clear that your initial downplaying of an individual’s suggestion sparked the heated conversation, we still reached out to that individual privately to discuss that their name calling was inappropriate and that it should not be used on this platform in our comment section moving forward, because it is unacceptable. The individual that you had an issue with attempted to delete their conversation to stop the back and forth with you publicly. However, you repeatedly attempted to continue the conversation, demanding an apology for the name calling on the original post and subsequent posts thereafter. You made no effort to apologize for making them feel bad about their suggestion, in fact you did the opposite, making it seem like they shouldn’t be mad because your comment wasn’t hurtful as long as you still like “Burger King” compared to steak. It was clear that you expect to comment without consequences for yourself when you leave negativity but when negativity in the comment section is pointed in your direction you demand apologies and immediate bans. We told you that we reached out to the other individual and that we told them their name calling was not appropriate and we agreed with you that name calling has no place here. But that was not enough for you. You demanded us ban this individual, and when it became clear that we would not do exactly as you requested, you made it seem like we were actively against you and had a pro-bullying position. You repeatedly made it known that you were displeased with us, that you would no longer support our channel and were shocked that we would not side with you 100% and implement your ban request. You asked us for examples for any inappropriate comments you made and we didn’t provide you with any. The reality is we read every comment on newer posts and in your short stay on this Patreon, we have read numerous comments from you that made us question if we should reach out to you before the current issue even originated. But since you are requesting examples, please reference the comment you recently made mocking the initials TBR. The reality is both individuals are in the wrong. Name calling is not okay and publicly ridiculing another’s suggestions is also not okay. When we politely suggestted to you that maybe moving forward you should pull back on commenting on others’ opinions and instead focus on your own, you accused us of victim blaming and gaslighting. In your latest statement you clearly see how your comments can spark negativity and hurt others, but not in the original case. It seems you will find no satisfaction with this issue unless the other individual apologizes fully, that we permanently ban this individual and that you are able to continue forward with zero consequence for disparaging other suggestions and opinions. You want this platform to be free for any dialogue and communication as long as it is the dialogue and communication you agree with. I suggest you reflect on how your own words can hurt just like you were hurt by another's. As previously mentioned, it seems you are apologizing for your involvement yet still deflect any true role in the issue. “We disagreed about a show. That’s it.” No, you disparaged someone’s suggestion and made them feel bad. “I didn’t even say the show was bad….. I guess the user really hated Burger King.” You can't control how someone responds to your words, that’s why words are so powerful. This has nothing to do with how much or little someone likes Burger King, it has to do with how your words made them feel small. Your words hurt them and they responded, albeit in an inappropriate way, as we already agreed on. If you want a place where passionate discussion can be had you shouldn’t be shocked when passions rise, especially when you are the one poking at the passion. If you pour gasoline on a fire, it’s difficult to justify demanding an apology from the fire for growing. You publicly airing grievances will not make us reflect and implement zero tolerance with immediate bans. Instead, like we always have, we will take time and care to discuss with any individuals when they have problems. People make mistakes, passions rise, things are said that can’t be taken back, but we will always treat our patrons with care and respect and give them as much time and attention as possible to find a solution to any issue. My hope is that going forward you see that we all play a role in how others feel welcomed and safe. My hope is that you see that we can’t all expect to say what we want while demanding others walk on egg shells. My hope is that you find the community that perfectly gels with your desires, and you experience nothing but kindness and warmth from others. You may never get your apology from the other patron, and I am sorry for that. And I am sorry that you didn’t find warmth and comfort within this community. We will gladly refund as much of your subscription that Patreon will let us go back to and wish you all the best in the future. -Daniel & Sam

TBR Schmitt

And now adding just from me, the comments on this post supporting and sympathizing with someone accusing us of gaslighting and victim blaming is disheartening to say the least. I will be discussing with Daniel after work whether we decide to leave the comments on on patreon at all moving forward considering I am solely responsible for responding to comments here. Additionally, I will be taking a step back from the platform due to the stress I've been undergoing dealing with Stan's messages and comments over the last week or so. My doctor was not happy with baby's heart rate today and I needed to be monitored. Daniel will do his best to respond to comments and messages around editing, getting the house ready for baby and his full time job. -Sam

Jeremy Garner

Totally off topic, but I’d love if you guys did some John Hughes movies from the 80s. Ferris Bueller, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Sixteen Candles. Maybe you’ve already seen them and that’s why you haven’t done many of them but they’re my favorites. Hope you’re doing well and I have lots of other suggestions for tv shows and movies if you ever need them!

Stan the Man

First of all. This is ridiculous. And extremely unprofessional. The way you characterize things is flat out wrong. in some cases you are telling half truths or out right lying. At no point have you mentioned ANYONE reached out to you to complain about me. This is the first time. You mentioned heated conversation, I asked for an example so I could reflect on it and improve my disposition. You didn’t. You couldn’t give me one example. You are also saying I am taking no responsibility for what happens with the user. Again, you are victim blaming. Comparing a show to Burger King and having someone call me a prick, loser, asshole and a douchebag? Really? You maybe think those two things dont equal out? I did not call the show bad. I did not invalidate his show. I compared to to a fast food restaurant. (The show was Son of Anarchy). And since you are now saying my messages have caused you stress, I feel like I should maybe copy and paste them so others can see for themselves? Ultimately I won’t since I don’t want to cause anymore stress but I feel like I should since the mischaracterizing is pretty heinous. I was not hostile towards you. My only sin was that I poorly misstated something, where you thought I was saying you weren’t banning the user due to money(something you bring up here) which I clarified and apologized for. Yet you bring it up here and don’t bring up the apology. That’s underhanded. And look, I’m sorry my messages caused you stress. I am. But you handled the situation terribly. You accused me of things I didn’t do. You made it seem like this was my fault when I was trying to find out why this user and I couldn’t deal with this one on one. The name calling continued. I don’t want a refund from you. No thanks. I enjoyed your content up until you acted this way. What I’d like is for you to learn from this please. Don’t victim blame. Don’t gaslight. I came to you in food faith. When you said you weren’t going to take further action all I said was “I’m disappointed “ and you interpreted my comments about how hard it must be to ban patreon as being about money, which I apologized for. That’s it. Then you let loose with the victim blaming. You said I was chasing after this user trying to discuss the show. That wasn’t true. AT ALL. You didn’t apologize once for any of your actions. None.

Stan the Man

No I said my subscription is coming to an end. And I’m commenting because they are lying. I take issue with that. I will continue to respond until the subscription ends, which I believe is the first. Frankly, I regret having to make this public. But after the messages they sent me included falsehoods and gaslighting I thought I needed to let others know here. This place should have a ZERO TOLERANCE towards name calling. End of story. I don’t care if you’ve been a patreon member for 3 years. Calling someone a loser, prick, asshole, douchebag, etc, when all I was trying to do was figure out why the user was acting this way over comparing his show to a very popular fast food restaurant. So if I achieve anything here so that maybe they institute that policy? Wonderful.

Stan the Man

The message where I “accuse them” when I say I understand how hard it must be. Stan the Man 14:57 Hello. Thanks for getting back to me and giving this some thought. I will say, I’m a little disappointed since I assumed you guys would have a zero tolerance policy on the sort of bullying & name calling(how long they’ve been a member notwithstanding) that went on. I think I’ll just stay away from the comments altogether. I don’t like bullies and seeing him in the comment section will just remind me of that. Anyways, thanks again for hearing me out. I respect your decision of not wanting to remove paying patreon members. I get that’s a big deal. Have a good one! This is the post where they say I accuse them of not wanting to remove a paying member. They mistakenly took it the wrong way and I apologized in my next message, just to clarify that isn’t what I meant. But they didn’t bring that up. They said I accused them of making it about money. Read that and please tell me if that’s the message you get. Sorry this is the only message I’ll post but I had to call out their lie. Obviously I didn’t stay away from the comments but that’s due to their follow up messages which quickly took a accusatory tone

Stan the Man

Also…mocking the initials of TBR? You give me an example I made after you lied, gaslit, victim blamed? But ok. Fair enough. If you were offended by me saying you were “The best reactors” I’m sorry. If you truly felt I was calling you “two broke republicans” my apologies. But I stand by the “terribly bullying rules”.

Paul Cox

I'm sorry, is this the first time you've ever been on the internet, Stan? Nothing I've read about in this screed or any other time you've hinted at someone else's bad behavior rises to the level of starting a public war with Daniel & Samantha. They're well within their rights to ban any patron for any reason at any time, and the fact they've put up with you for as long as they have means they're far kinder people than I. People come and go from patreon subscriptions all the time without lighting a match on the way out the door. BE. LESS. FRAGILE.

Paul Cox

As far as John Hughes goes, Ferris Bueller, PT&A, and Uncle Buck are on the channel. I can't remember if they said they've seen The Breakfast Club already, but I think that's the case.

Paul Cox

I believe he also helmed Indiana Jones 5, and I bet we'll see a reaction to that one sooner or later.

Stan the Man

Yep. And I was fine with all of that. I was cool with them not banning buddy, I disagreed with it. But it’s their channel, their rules. I said as much. But then they decided to say I did things I didn’t do, defend the guy for calling names. And yes. This is the internet. But I pay a fee every month and I expect that undue name calling(and not harmless ball breaking) over and over and over and over is not something I’m going to put up with and neither should anyone else. It’s not about being fragile. It’s about respect. You can disagree with someone and break balls but when shit starts to get weird and personal? Nah. They defended that. And if you disagree with me? Cool. I see it differently.

Stan the Man

@LKO Actually other members have reached out to me to say they’ve had issues with this user & that they reported it to Sam & Dan. So I’m really not sure where they are getting this “it’s the first time” but whatever. I don’t know where else you go but plenty of Patreon have a zero tolerance policy on bullying and name calling. Cinebinge is an example that comes to mind. And again. It wasn’t as if this just happened once. This user did this over a series of replies and this really only escalated to here in the public because I felt others should know what to expect if they ever message Dan and Sam with an issue. It started out cordial and nice but then Sam let loose with the false equivalency, lying, gaslighting, victim blaming. I even said in my message to her, I hesitate to call myself a victim. I’m not. But the term for what you are doing? Is victim blaming and next time this happen you may actually get someone who feel they have are victim so try to deal with this in a better way. She gave No apology, no explanation. Just said made stuff up. My subscription was ending so I said screw it. These people need to know. I expect people to defend them. That’s cool. But I felt this was warranted. It’s funny that they say I’m attacking their character. But all I did was tell the truth. Nothing I said didn’t happen. And if that’s attacking their character? By telling the truth? Guilty as charged.

Stan the Man

And Paul. Sorry one more thing. “Be less fragile”. You don’t know me any better than I know you. But please don’t have that mindset. No one knows what another person is going thru in their real life. That’s why name calling can be so disastrous. Maybe I take this seriously because I’ve lost someone I loved due to taking their own life over bullying on the internet. My sister. Which reminds me…please. If anyone is being bullied or having bad thoughts please go to https://afsp.org/im-having-thoughts-of-suicide/ or call their hotline just dial 988 on your cellphone. I learned that too late for her.

Marcus Cato

I certainly didn't mean to sound like I was sympathizing with the accusations against the two of you. I did sympathize with Stan because I noticed that someone attacked him seemingly out of nowhere in a previous interaction. I sympathize with you guys having to deal with the occasional outburst of drama. Have you thought about finding a mod? I've seen a couple other channels use moderators that shut down the drama pretty fast. Just a thought. I'd hate to see you guys stressed given how busy your lives your lives are about to become. Once again, thanks again for all the great content you've given us. It meant so much to me during Covid in particular.

Brian Anthony

If you guys want do more baseball films,I'd recommend Rookie of the year or Angels in the outfield. They're both feel good movies.

Brian Anthony

Also,if you go back to doing any Arnold movies,Eraser is a really good one;if you haven't seen it.

Paul Cox

Stan, I realize saying "be less fragile" can come across as flippant, especially when the two of us don't know each other. But if there's one thing I've learned in all my years online, it's that nasty disagreements can blow up out of nowhere over the topics of music, movies, and tv and I used to take the bait like a sucker all the time. One day, I realized the absurdity of doing that, focused on thickening my skin, and just bailed on any crummy interaction that developed. 1) It preserved my sanity. 2) Ignoring someone who's trying to rile you only ruins their day even more. So when I say "be less fragile," it's intended as good advice. I realize you can't block other users here like you can on Twitter or Facebook and that makes it harder to ignore them because you keep wanting to go back and see if anything new happened. However, I promise you that if you remove yourself from a confrontation you'll forget all about it long before the other person will. My condolences re: your sister. Sometimes bullying gets VERY bad, and that's obviously not what I'm talking about here.

Stan the Man

I appreciate the clarification. Thanks man. Yeah in one of my messages to the channel owners I lamented the lack of an “ignore button”. A simple “ignore button” and all this drama(which I admit I’m partly to blame for by putting it out there), could’ve been avoided. It’s something Patreon should consider for sure

Kevin Charley

You're fully to blame for putting it out there.

Stan the Man

I mean sure, but they responded and added their two cents so that not exactly true. Especially since their two cents included, well, I’ve already gone into that haven’t I?

Ian

So sorry the comments are stressing you out Sam and your responses will be missed but you've gotta take care of yourself and the baby above all else thats the most important thing right now 🫂 hope we get to see Daniels handywork in th nursery I bet he does a cracking job 🙌 . Take good care of yourself and relax if you can oh and happy international clown week 🤡

Florian Meier

Sam don't let yourself be stressed!! You just can't pleased everyone, you both do such a great Job!!! For me The Best!!! This is the Reason you have so many Fans and Followers...But Some will always Deal with their private Problems ...

Mr. Chumpus

Holy shit dude......you are a pathetic spineless bitch. Bye Bye crybaby loser

Mario

The Rookie - 2002 (the baseball movie with Dennis Quaid) would also be a good choice. edit: needed to specify incase people confused it with the tv show The Rookie (which is a show about cops).

Mario

Minor side tangent: Mangold's recent comments about Wolverine returning in Deadpool 3 was sort of off-putting and ironic.

Mario

I really wish people wouldn't resort to leaving nasty comments when there are disagreements (it's largely why I avoided commenting on these posts). We should be better than that, especially when we all have a shared love of cinema.

OddThomas

Getting into a war of words on the internet is a fool's game. It takes two to tango so whoever 'started' it is irrelevant.

Jeremy Garner

I do think I remember them saying once they had seen Breakfast Club. Could be wrong though. Still a few others they could do though
