Schmitthead Monthly Movie Drawing - November 2023

Comments

iliketostayhome

I look forward to The Elephant man. Apparently Kubrick complimented Lynch on it.

Paul Cox

Awesome winner! And hi baby Schmitt!!

Tim Raths

Great choice, it will be your first reaction to a David Lynch film since you watched Mulholland Drive.

Smooticus

Fixed! Fixed I say! Seriously, Congratulations Ron. A great choice

Jimmie V

Nice choice, Ron!! I didn't win with my pick, "Blue Velvet" but wow, what a great consolation prize of more David Lynch! We need more Lynch on this channel and this is so awesome.

EdmanXERO

Congrats on the winner! I'll keep trying until my pick is selected. Baby Schmitt is adorable. Haha.

Terry Lee

I don't know anything about The Elephant Man… I hope it is as great as everyone seems to claim it is

Domino

Oh that's a good one! :D Good pick, Ron!

Robert Boyd

The Elephant Man is a masterpiece. Have tissues handy.

Tostito Buddy

For tears, right? It's the internet so I just want to make sure.

TBR Schmitt

You did! I thought it was going to stop on you! -Sam

Tostito Buddy

Anthony Hopkins is great in this

MacGuffinStuff

Hey baby Schmitt! Aw man, I think I might have forgotten to vote, it's been a crazy month, I never win anything anyway lol No but I like this idea, pretty fun! I think I've seen parts of the Elephant Man, that's an odd sentence, I mean the movie, not parts of the Elephant Man himself. All I remember is a young Anthony Hopkins and I'm kind of excited to watch it, in the words of the Dunder-Mifflin HR Handbook, this is a win-win-win.

Paul Cox

I've seen The Elephant Man two or three more times since then, but the first time I saw it was after my dad bought the family's very first VCR back in the early 1980s. Small independent video rental stores didn't have huge inventories, so he grabbed The Elephant Man because it had been nominated for several Oscars and because it was rated PG. Y'all, The Elephant Man is NOT a movie for 7 year-olds! I still laugh about that.

Skyler Thomas

So awesome that we get more David Lynch!

dieselbeast

I haven't seen this movie but I've seen a documentary of The Elephant Man hopefully that's not considered a spoiler, and it's definitely somethin, looking forward to that reaction 🙏

Mr. Chumpus

That would be great if you knew ahead of time to not choose something they are planning to watch, but I think it's not very possible for them to answer that. If they did answer, they'd have 100 people asking the same question about their choice every month. A bit overwhelming. Good luck with your choice though!

Shehab Dawoud

I’m asking because it’s a Christmas movie (sort of) which is right around the corner. If it was any other movie, I wouldn’t have asked.

Guston Zimasheen

Congratulations Ron. A very good choice. Can't wait to see y'all's reaction.

Ron

OMG! I can't believe it! Thank you! I really hope you enjoy it! I chose this movie because it made a lasting impression me when I saw it with my parents opening weekend. This was one of the few movies I really felt deserved applause at the end. Lynch is one of my favorite directors, and, for me, this is his best.

Mr. Chumpus

Got ya. I've never seen it. I like this channel because I'm introduced to a lot of great movies that I've never seen before

djKENTO

oooo Elephant Man is a FANTASTIC pick. Fun fact, it’s produced by Mel Brooks of all people. Maybe this can lead to a Twin Peaks reaction…

Ray Johnson

I saw parts of this when I was 8 years old I think... it terrified me, lol. But I know it's a serious movie that has a lot of respect. Good choice to expose it to a new audience!

Greg & Lilian

Congrats Ron! This drawing is great!

Jen Barnes

Same, I was 9 or 10 when my Mom tried to take me to see it. Traumatizing. Finally watched it again as an adult so I could fully appreciate it. What a wonderful movie.

TBR Schmitt

Hi! We don't have Eyes Wide Shut on the schedule for December so you can recommend it again for the drawing in December, if you'd like! I'll always try to let you know if a movie is already on the schedule for that month so you can re-pick, like I did for the patron that requested Scent of a Woman :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

YAY! Congratulations again! We're excited for more Lynch! -Sam

Shehab Dawoud

@LKO! Can you read properly? Where am I whining? I’m asking because maybe they decided to put it on their schedule by themselves. If that was the case, I wouldn’t have to participate in next month’s draw. Your message and the tone behind it was weird and inappropriate.

iliketostayhome

Sorry. Kubrick loved Lynch's "Eraserhead". I was mistaken.

Garry L

This is a great winner! Also, I’ll be submitting the same suggestion (Jesse James) every month until I win, lol

Alex

Sam looks so happy in this video. Never seen her look this happy since I saw the wedding pictures. Wonderful to see.

Duncan

I also found your post a little rude and very entitled sounding Shehab ,this was just the very first draw on this new tier ,then when you did not win on the very first spin ,you come here and somewhat try and put pressure on Daniel&Sam to watch your selection in December anyway. This channel has been running for several years now ,so they will have had thousands and thousands of movies suggestions from youtube and patreon comments ,many of which will be for the same movie too ,so Eyes Wide Shut is in the same boat as every other movie on the suggested list and does not deserve any more priority than anything else Please try and be patient

Shehab Dawoud

@Duncan Well if that’s what you thought, that’s on you for imagining things. Idk, maybe you forgot your meds today. I explained it early on, that it’s been suggested by others than me and it fits into the Xmas season, so maybe they decided to watch it anyway. So if that was the case, I could’ve suggested something else in December, or maybe not pay for the Schmitthead tier at all. Because I don’t plan to be in that tier every month going forward. What is so difficult to understand about that? Please fix up, don’t assume things about other people, and support a real football club, not an energy drink.

Michael Buhl

Wow! The Elephant Man is dark, disturbing, and sad, but it's a great movie! Congrats Ron!

nick B.

This was an awesome idea that yall had, also great movie pick too!

Scott CineRam

I've made a few recommendations in the YouTube comments section. Should I be doing that here? Should I DM recommendations here on Patreon?

Chris Bruneau

my wife came in the room while I was watching this video, she said "why are you watching wheel of fortune??" LOLOLOL

Mark M

Congratulations Ron!

TBR Schmitt

Hi Scott! I try to get down all the recommendations in the YT comments as well, but you can DM us here to double check! -Sam

OddThomas

Ooh The Elephant Man

Tyler Foster

One of the more traditional David Lynch movies. Looking forward to seeing your reaction.

JayDee AhBooWan

Congrats to Ron I’m gonna keep suggesting my suggestion until I see it pop up for reaction!

Neal Romanek

Great! You have to see The Elephant Man. Amazing performances from John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins.

Daniel Gurney

Hello, Carlitos Way for me please.
