Help pick the Tom Hanks movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

*NOTE: Sam has seen You've Got Mail, so this will only be my first time reaction.

Comments

Charles Gaba

Joe vs the Volcano if you haven’t already watched it!

Nox720

A league of their own. Although to be fair, I did suggest it on the monthly drawing so *crosses fingers*

Athos Count de la Fère

Philadelphia. Fantastic performance by Tom. Denzel Washington also is great in that movie.

Domino

Hoping it wins too. It's such a good movie, plus I love watching younger generations react to it.

Matthew loss

I agree with Charles. And even if you have watched Joe vs. The Volcano, rewatch it, it's the best Tom hanks comedy of them all!!!

Jeffrey Miller

A League of Their Own and Philadelphia are far and away the best films. Please watch Philadelphia, I never see anyone react to it and in my opinion it's a far better Hanks performance than Forrest Gump.

Vwlss Nvwls

You are missing an often overlooked comedy gem of Tom Hanks called "The Man with One Red Shoe"

Robert Boyd

I just love A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Rosie O’Donnel and Madonna. It’s awesome. Madonna’s song that she sung for the soundtrack This Used to be My Playground is cool too.

Sylvan Green

Philadelphia is a tearjerker, great film for sure but I hope A League of Their Own wins because I love Penny Marshall. Have you two seen The Money Pit? Funny as hell.

Jeffrey Miller

I was kid/teen during the 90s and remember when HIV was considered a death sentence. It was on the news all the time and it freaked me out a bit even though I knew I wasn't doing anything that'd lead to me getting it.

Athos Count de la Fère

I was a kid in the 80s. A friend in school, his father was messing around with prostitutes in Time Square. He got it, and it killed him in four months. Scared the shit out of me. A disease with no cure and no drugs to combat it. Scary stuff.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Other Suggestions : The Man with One Red Shoe 1985, The Money Pit 1986, Dragnet 1987, & Big 1988. If you are ever going to watch The Ladykillers 2004, please watch the original first. The original is a British Dark comedy from 1955, from the amazing Ealing Studios. It stars Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers & other great cast members.

Paul Cox

Fingers crossed that League wins. March is the perfect time of year for it.

Paul Cox

Too bad one of the spaces was wasted on The Ladykillers. Neither Tom Hanks nor the Coen Brothers could make that thing work. Joe vs The Volcano should've taken its spot.

Brian Hammil

One that you do not have on here, one of my FAVORITES, is "Turner and Hooch."

Guston Zimasheen

Should be a sequel called "Cooper & Hooch", where the 2 of them just sleep all day on the floor rug in real time. jk

Florian Meier

My favorite Tom Hanks is Missing Here .... "Turner and Hooch" from 1989

Michael Chavira

Had to vote for You've Got Mail. I always enjoy the "Husband's First Time Watching" videos, especially the part where we get to see Sam do the intro. Your reaction to Dirty Dancing was hilarious. I still go back and watch that video when I want to crack myself up. We need more like that. Always looking for more laughs :)

Cody Sutton

You should do a Hanks run of movies if you haven’t seen all of these. So many good ones.

dayriser

💯 agree... The Ladykillers was awful... Not even funny awful... Just painful to watch awful...

dayriser

Yes!! Forgot all about The Money Pit... Future poll for sure....

dayriser

Scully for a future poll...

Reed James

Worst Coen brothers film.

Scott CineRam

Tom has never been funnier than he is in "A League of Their Own"

Shayds

Disappointed not to see "Larry Crowne" Very underrated feel-good movie with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts

Jen Barnes

Joe vs the Volcano and Turner & Hooch are my favorite Hanks movies. Yes, I'm an adult, lol.

Paul Cox

Five of these appear to be way out in front of all the rest, so you should just add all five to the schedule. It's TOM HANKS! I can vouch for four of them personally. I haven't seen Captain Phillips, but I trust the patrons in this instance.
