I absolutely do not believe everything yellow signifies closeting, but I think the main genesis of that theory is that a closet in the lover mv house was yellow with yellow clothes in it and she wears a yellow dress in different colored rooms when no one else is in yellow, and it all spiraled out from there to become yellow = closet

I see no benefit to her of this being PR it’s gotta be real unfortunately I agree with y’all. I do think half of the Easter egg theories are just in good fun though and hopefully no one takes them *too* seriously (on both the Swiftie and gaylor sides of the fandom). It has been a fun opportunity to learn some queer history I didn’t know though even if that was never her intention. I care about the community and discourse more at this point lol I think it has grown beyond Taylor
