How much playtesting has this gone through roughly? Interested in the theme, and perhaps introducing a few custom expansions into the next campaign, but wanna make sure it’s balanced for both the immediate consequences (gameplay, rewards) and the long term consequences (synergies, scaling) of adding it to a campaign...

CCG Team

I wouldn’t say that everything has been playtested to the extent poots has done, but each of our expansions has been playtested at least a handful of times by 4-6 individuals within the group at probably 10-30 by the creator. But we are talking about adding gameplay to a game with already broken parts, so balance is extremely difficult. In addition, multiple members of the CCG team are on the CE team, so we already spend a lot of time recognizing what and how to get as close to balance as possible. It’s also why we ask that soft releases sit a month to two, so others outside this group can playtest. A couple broken items were found and fixed due to such play testing.

Wilting Moon

Ah ok, thanks! A bit further down the line, It would be great to perhaps see a bunch of these monsters arranged into a custom campaign, with some synergies across monsters. :)

CCG Team

Funny you say that, we will be doing a bonus add on armor set at some point that connects Storm and Drifter.

CCG Team

I did the first draft, then D Weaver came through and fixed and upgraded my work. He will be doing a couple new ones coming down the docket as well.

Wilting Moon

Looks like you need to edit the living coral card. It a) tells you to discard if not fighting the drifter but then gives you a chance to do something if you aren’t fighting him... B) the thing it tells you to do invokes rolling a d10, but then gives no tables, just an action to flip it to the dead coral side. A few edits needed.

Elliott Haynes

The mpc link is missing the pool terrain card.

CCG Team

Elliott, it is the second to last card in the link. Give it a week to two weeks before ordering. We just played our first complete campaign with Drifter and are making a few small tweaks to the gear.

Elliott Haynes

Ah, I ordered the cards back in February, somehow didn’t get that one. Have just had two TPKs to a lvl 1, still very enjoyable and was probably underpowered anyway. But the bleeds are quite brutal! But loving the dynamics, best home brew content I’ve yet seen 👍

CCG Team

That’s so weird because nothing has changed. We are about to release a Legendary right called Storm Dancer that mixes Storm Knight and a drifter Knight. Same time we will be releasing a version with updated cards. I will make sure Tidal Pool is included.

Elliott Haynes

Unless I have it mixed up elsewhere in my custom content! But definitely not seen. Great to see the updated in due course, and keep up the fab work! This was definitely the best piece of home brew so far (I have just about everything!) 👍

Steffen Plath

Hey! The updated Dead Coral and Living Coral Terrain cards are missing the setup text entirely. Is this meant to be this way? Changelog says the setup text was edited...

FromTheSky7

I noticed that with the update the card backs for the terrain changed with a drifter knight backing. Are these terrains now exclusive to the drifter knight and not added to the terrain deck? I can't seem to find anything about it in the rule book.

CCG Team

The terrain replicates the Expansion only precedence standardized by Dragon Knight for Tyrant terrain. Your assumption is correct though that Coral is Drifter specific.

Deni

Little bit confused that MPC link has different survivor status cards and google link too. Which ones are the updated version?

Jimmy Fortin

Yes... I printed all the cards and I'll see that the MPC cards are not the same as in the pdf file ...

Jimmy Fortin

It's weird... In the MPC cards in Gear cards to print, there are three naginata. The last naginata (last card to print) The colors and texte are not the same as the two others . The cards in google drive is different too! The Vile Concoction card in the PDF and MCP are different from the card in google drive.

CCG Team

I just fixed the Naginata as someone (other than us) added that one and used an older version stored on the page. The issue with MPC is that anyone can tamper which is a shame, As to the Vile Concotion, looking into that now.

Jimmy Fortin

Ok thanks! Yes I know, I create an MCP file when I wanted to print things myself! The versions in the MPC are the right ones! I didn't print everything for nothing!

James Cunningham

Hi guys, sorry quick question about the cards. The fighting arts, secret fighting arts and disorders are a different size. I am guessing this is meant to happen but just clarifying this is in deed the case.

Jordan Dupuis

I think someone edited the MPC gear link because I only see blank squares when I click on the link :( Not sure if it's an issue on my end or if it's an everyone issue. Can someone else click the link and let me + the CCG Team know?

CCG Team

It isn't, this is just the 4th expansion to have broken images. This is a problem from MPC. I will be conversing with the team to see if we still want to create MPC links for everyone, it may not be worth it if they continue to break.

Jordan Dupuis

Hopefully the discussion goes well! I'm sure a lot of Kingdom Death fans use these links and purchase the cards from MPC. From a business perspective, they should be fixing these links... Keep us updated with any news! :)
