Hi. I know you have WWII pretty well covered. I was wondering if instead of continuing to design obscure airplanes you could move into the jet age? There are lots of aircraft to be considered starting from 1945 to the present.

Could we have a de Havilland Chipmunk sometime please?

John

Great for re-enacting all those 1960s war movies where the Luftwaffe were entirely equipped with Bf.108s 😍

Grasshopper Squadron Beta

Meh, other people have jet planes, too. The thing that is cool about the obscure planes is that they were present, and planes like this would absolutely have been present alongside the sexier aircraft on a typical airfield. Honestly, I'm less into the prototypes, but aircraft like this are great.

I'm not saying completely ignore them, but at this point it feels like they are getting more and more obscure. I understand they would exist, but actually being in combat (for those of us who want the planes for our wargames) would be unusual.

Michael R Innella

I'm pretty sure those were post-war Spanish Me-109 variants.

John

That was just "Battle of Britain". If you look at "633 squadron", "Mosquito Squadron" and several others from the early 60s they used Bf.108s.

Ivan Quiros

holly crap this aircraft is legendary

Plane Printer

I have a "633 squadron" book and watch a movie year ago. Can't belive that they destroyed few Mossies just for the movie.

John

'only' one I think, but yes, watching the undercarriage collapse sequence is painful 😢😫
