Matt Thrower reviewed this game years ago and I saved it away but never went after it. But I'll tell you what, your play through (I'd like to know the toolset) made it a lot more compelling to me. Glad I listened to this one.

We used the drawing tool on Roll20! I don't know enough about the site to explain how Gloss uploaded the cards and so-forth, but I believe the drawings were made using Roll20's regular drawing tool
