A Shard of Future Past - partial (Patreon)

I started writing this right after the first Star Trek Reboot movie came out. It was going to be part of a series, called Future Tense, in which the Q of the Reboot timeline interacts with the Kirk and Spock of the reboot timeline, and also original Spock, in an effort to keep that future from coming to pass. Since I really, really hated Into Darkness, I'm not sure if I will ever come back to this, but I love the banter between elderly original Spock and still-messed-up-in-the-head Q (my headcanon for Q has always been that something screwed with him badly a few hundred years before TNG, and his interactions with Picard and crew were part of his healing process in coming back to who he should have been all along. I use this in my Discord-as-Q series as well.)
