this is one of my fav eps, it was so fun, I enjoyed the plot twist of Jace not having demon blood and not being clary’s brother, (of course I knew already bc of the books but it was still fun to watch play out) if there is one thing I can say about Valentine it’s that he is definitely smart, he knew exactly how to manipulate and use everyone around him to get what he wanted. my fav part of course is the malec finally saying I love you!! I adore them <3

The sword was connected to the angelic power core of the Institute. That is why Valentine took over the Institute. That is Jace could activate the sword. Valentine is a mastermind in his madness. Malec is official! My heart broke for Alec when he couldn't find Magnus 💔 And then the relief and declarations of love. Fantastic! Poor Jace can't catch a break.

RIP Jocelyn, you would've loved to know the dude you randomly tried to kill wasn't actually your demon baby

Valentine raised Jace like his own son until he was 10, they're just not related by blood, that's why Valentine is kind of attached to him. It'll all make sense very soon!
