Just when you're thinking "Thank God, Clary didn't actually kiss her brother!" well.... As someone who loved these books and still has a soft spot for them, the unnecessary brother/sister stuff is definitely a choice Also, I think Clary and Simon's conversation where he said he needed time and she said she'd always be there for him, was about their friendship, not a romantic relationship anymore.
