I’m not religious so I guess I wouldn’t understand but if my kid died and came back to life I’d soak that time up I have with them. Even if they came back as a vampire I’d feel like our family was given a second chance 💔❤️

This amazing episode was directed by the one and only Paul Wesley!!! Which i think makes it so much more special because he knows this world and knows what a great episode needs.

one of the few best episodes of this show and i'm not surprised Paul directed it, but also the fact that it avoided the MOTW trope, they even brought it up only to realize that the 'monsters' were a vampire and a werewolf, seeming to forget that they're just as capable of these deplorable acts. still, that's what makes it INTERESTING. the show gets a very black and white viewpoint from its young characters and watching them unlearn that is so much fun, i just wished they had stuck to it more.

The last season of TVD each title was a quote or something from season one! Thought that was a nice touch.
