As far as teacher/student relationships go, I'm glad they went with the route of her being called out for being an (apex) predator. Too many teacher/student relationships in media never actually portray it that way (I'm looking at you, Pretty Little Liars), and it's just...gross. I'm glad there's been less and less of them in movies and shows over the past few years lol
