Finally a night with Dani (Patreon)
Content
Again I have been playing through the entire game this week. I restarted with another new origin I thought up called "dead inside". It was supposed to be a kind of hard origin, but in testing it seems to have ended up kind of chill. It comes with the Numb to the world perk and the child free perk.
I thought it would be a depression spiral into alcoholism and addiction. But it turns out that while you can only get a maximum of 30 mood, the lowest mood being 20 does a lot of heavy lifting. It means that while she will always have near bottom mood and confidence, it will take more than the odd punch in the face to drop her into the negatives where she will start doing self destructive behavior.
I also made her agree to things she might not normally agree do. She want's to feel alive so agrees to things her stats might not normally allow her to. This means alcohol, drug and sex checks. This made me decide to add in a new variety of random events that are called "bad choices" events. Sammy now has a "stupid" or "dumbass" counter, and based on things like low int, drunkenness or other perks like bimbo/dead inside, she can do dumbass things randomly (but very rarely).
You can also see an updated boardwalk BG in this screenshot.
And of course, Dani content. Adding more conversations with her, more wine events and of course the romance.
I wanted you to be able to follow her content while also ignoring the romance/sex stuff. The easiest solution here was to have her come onto you, explain herself and then saying if you want more, you should stay the night. Anyone who wants to stay platonic can head home after your evening date, while if you want to take things further, then agree to stay at her place for the night.
And as is the case with things closer to release, there are a million smaller things. Robin now has a drunk face, more flyer job locations, being able to meet whore Mira while flyering/cleaning, mood/inseminated/period/horny random events and much more that isn't worth talking about.
Final note. The Fixer is 5 years old on Tuesday so I might do something silly for that.
